Metaphantom is a uniquely paradoxical hip hop band. Metaphantom is a movement
centered on the belief that the stagnant market known as Hip Hop could benefit
greatly from a fresh and innovative approach. Our singular intent with The
Metaphantom Music Project is to storm first the local, the national, and world wide
markets with music and media rich in both talent and accessibility. In other words
typical rap artists struggling for their break may present a one dimensional product
that will easily blend in with the myriad of Mcee’s or Hip Hop groups vying for a record
label’s attention; whereas The Metaphantom Music Project presents a vast repertoire
of not only great Hip Hop music but also compelling music videos, and even fascinating
documentary films reaching an even greater audience than simply music alone could.
Metaphantom is a Journey to the dark side of hip hop and back. Complex verbiage
stacked on top of acrobatic rhymes. Bane and Anguish are Metaphantom and they
have been the undiscovered kings of the underground North West Hip Hop scene for
well over a decade. It is now time for their music to be heard.
Each track invokes the spirit of a warrior, the wisdom of a sage or the urge to get up
throw your hands up and dance. And in many cases all of the above. These two MC’s
are so different from the trend following monotonous material commonly heard over
radio waves these days, that the music commands your attention and works your neck.
Metaphantom is on your block with a vengeance. Sick lyrics and epic beats portray
Metaphantom as raw, hard and street wise lyricists, yet unlike one dimensional
gangsta rappers, Metaphantom’s debut LP is balanced out by songs of love and
compassion giving the album an entirely accessible and highly listenable overall sound.
With nods to great underground groups such as Jedi Mind Tricks, Immortal Technique,
Big Pun and such legends as Rakim, The Wu–Tang Clan and Nas; Metaphantom is on
