It's been awhile since I've done this, and no I'm no better at it than I was before :) I just want to give a quick update on what I'm doing. But first I want to say thanks to all of you who have supported and encouraged me through it all. Ok, enough of that. I am currently working on my most important project to date. My friend Holly has been hospitalized for a few weeks now. It is very serious. She is wheelchair bound and has had many complications. She is also here on reverberation. She's a D.J. with Blizz of Rock radio. A few night's ago I wrote a song for Holly. I'm not collecting videos from people interested in doing something to make someone else happy. Many are on their way to make them already. What we are doing is getting folks to sing along on the hook and it will be placed in the video. The sound will be from the track but we will see everyone singing. The song is called "Just like Holly" Anyone interested in joining in can get the lyrics from the link to the song. Just learn it or just clap your hand, sway back and forth or smile. You can contact me here if you have questions. Special thanks to Sara McIntosh for taking this an running with it. She's been reposting and contacting people since she found out about it on FB. Also congratulations to Andrew Austin (Outstanding Musician!) for being the 1st to complete his video! :) Who will be next? ;)
A few days ago a childhood friend contacted me. She told me her 15 year old daughter had written a song and couldn't get anyone to write music for it. I listened to the recording of her singing it and was amazed. I later found out that she had been tasked with writing a song for a school play. They are doing Alice vs Wonderland, a take on Alice in wonderland. It features 5 Alice's. It addresses the young female identity crisis. I was to soon learn that the young writer is primarily a poet and wants to go on to be a philosopher. I have since read some of her material and talked her into setting up a reverbnation page. She will be adding spoken word to music. I am sure we will see big things from her in the near future. This extraordinary new talent writes under the pen name AJ Roberts and you can find her here. www.reverbnation.com/ajroberts Please support her as you have supported me.

Hello to all those who venture out and are kind enough to stop by to read my blog. I'm still new to blogging but I will attempt this to the best of my abilities. A lot of people are talking to me about my music and some are even asking me for advice. I have to tell you, I have no clue of what I am doing. Every one of my recordings is a little different. Sometimes I don't even remember where I may have gotten my ideas from for certain effects…. I guess I should start paying attention! So the way I create my music is by experimenting, trial and error, until I am happy with the final product. Bottom line, I always seem to find something new to record, I am truly blessed. Some have commented on how different I am from song to song. I have even been asked why I am in the R&B genre. I reply by saying "because there is no ONE SPECIFIC GENRE for me.” When I write and perform it comes from the heart because my whole life I have been exposed to all types of music from all around the world and there have been times where I don’t even know where one genre ends and another begins. This is what makes me happy! With that said, I welcome everyone to come and listen; I promise you will walk away with a smile on your face and a song (my song…lol) in your heart. I am very grateful to all who support me and my work. Be Well, Spider

I have to tell you, I have no clue of what I'm doing. Every recording I do is a little different. Some times I don't even remember who I got certain effects. I just keep messing with things until they seem to fall in place. I guess i should start paying attention. Anyway, I am always finding something new. Some have commented on how different I am from song to song. I've even been asked why I'm in the R&B genre? I just say "because there is no MUSIC genre". I have listened to all types of music around the world all my life. I don't even know where 1 genre ends an another begins, and I'm happy that way. I'm just happy you all support me. Maybe you're just curious lol. What ever the reason I'm still happy. OK, that's all for now. If anyone ever reads this, let
I'm just trying to wrap my head around it all. I'm trying to make the transition from soldier to civilian. Not only that but to musician as well. Where do I start? Well, I guess with right now. I find myself having to play catch up. I am relatively new to the industry. I have no gigs, no deadline, and no real history in the business. What I do have is some people in the business who are showing me some real interest and have been waiting for quite some time for me to leave my current job. Well, I'm waiting to retire from the military. In the mean time I have been writing as much as possible, being on the DL("disabled List"-not the "down low " lol) there is not much else I can get into. I have a hunger for music that is hard to fill, and I'm ok with that. Well, this is my first attempt at blogging, so if it's not up to standard just send me the rules. If it's ok,.....I ment to do that. lol
