Favorite Shape Triangle has relocated to Malibu, CA. Thanks again to everyone in Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa (and everywhere else) for your many years of support. I'll be spending the next few months getting FST up-and-running out here in California.

It was a good run; three years of gigging live in MKE. Summerfest, Miller Park, Steel Bridge Songfest, live on WMSE. Played so many great shows, met so many great people. Thanks to everyone who supported FST along the way, and a special thanks to Jacob Noble, Todd Ciske, Zach Butler, Matt Fegaly, Tim Raymond, Jim Greenfield and Caleb Milestone for being a part of FST MKE. Couldn't have done it without you.

I'd also like to thank Renee for all of her help with FST's graphic design needs. Yer the best, Renee. Three years of epic flyers, so grateful!

Yes, I've decided to retire FST live. At least for the time being. From here on out, I'll be back to focusing on my solo studio albums. PRISM should be ready very soon.

May the 4th be with you.

Hey! Wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out to Caleb's first show. It was so much fun. Five months is far too long to wait between shows. Fortunately, we've just booked a couple big shows for April, so no more of this waiting stuff. FST will be playing Miller Park again, 4/20 & 4/21. This time around it's Brewers versus Cubs. Wrigley North and all that. Expect it to sell out fast, snag your tickets ASAP! And please check out our events page (on facebook or favoriteshapetriangle.com) for more details. See you all at the ballpark! Go Brewers!

After nearly a five month hiatus, FST returns to the stage! This Saturday, February 2nd, at the Up & Under Pub (Brady Street, MKE). Beaker will be starting off the night, with the Elusive Parallelograms to follow. FST will likely go on around midnight. Please come out to welcome our new guitarist Caleb Milestone. See you at the show! We're stoked to be back!

For those who have yet to hear, our compatriot Todd Ciske has left the band. For the past two years, Todd has been an integral part of FST -- his enthusiasm was unparalleled and he brought with him a very special energy. Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and last week I made the very difficult decision to let him go. I'm not one to air dirty laundry, so I'll just leave it at that.

I do want to formally thank Todd for his past commitments to the band, and we all wish him well in his future music pursuits. Be sure to check out his music project: 3-RING BINDER.

Moving on at breakneck speed, I'm happy to report that the gentlemanly Caleb Milestone has officially joined the band. We're all very excited about this addition, and the timing couldn't have been better. We'll be back to gigging in January 2013. Looking forward to it!

Summer will soon be drawing to a close, and what an awesome summer it's been. We played the local festival scene rather rampantly over the past few months, and it's been super fun, exciting and rewarding. It's also been a lot of work, and I'm personally looking forward to retreating into my little songwriting hovel, for an autumn/winter hibernation of sorts. Favorite Shape Triangle will be retooling over the next few months, so look for an extended hiatus. Our final show before said hiatus will be at Miller Park on Sunday, September 16th. That'll be our 50th show, coincidentally. Never thought I'd play live music again, so to have played 50 shows over the past couple years, yeah, what a trip. Anyway, it's Brewers versus Mets -- additional information is located on the event page. Come check us out. It'll be your last chance to do so until 2013.

Hard to believe Summerfest is over. The smoke has cleared and the whirlwind of our epic weekend has quickly moved on into the past. What a blur.

This was FST's first Summerfest experience, and it was an overwhelmingly positive one. On July 7th, we played the Harley-Davidson Roadhouse. It was easily the largest stage I've ever set foot on. We rocked a couple sets, had an absolute head-trip of a blast, then spent the rest of that sunny Saturday with our nearest and dearest.

On the following day, the final day of Summerfest, we played the Cascio Groove Stage, to an entirely amped and exquisitely large audience -- it was so much fun. Thanks a million to everyone who came out, and a big thanks to Brian Bott, and Cascio Interstate Music, for providing us with the opportunity.

Like I said, it's hard to believe that Summerfest is over. My most valuable takeaway this year: Milwaukee has a ridiculously vibrant local music scene -- and I'm not talking about cover bands. Brian Bott and company proved this hand over fist. From VIC & GAB to the ELUSIVE PARALLELOGRAMS to WAMSLEY to ANIMALS IN HUMAN ATTIRE. All that's left to say is: are you kidding me? Watch for MKE to blow up the national scene over the next five to ten years. We are, after all, the Seattle of the Midwest.

We're playing Summerfest's Harley-Davidson Stage on Saturday, July 7th. The stage is ours from noon to 2:30pm. The Bel Airs, Automatic, and rap superstar Common, will follow. General admission tickets are $16. Also included with general admission on the 7th: Cake, Phil Vassar, Hollywood Undead, Chevelle. July 7th headliners: Aerosmith and Cheap Trick. Additional ticket required for headliners. On Sunday, July 8th, FST will be playing the Cascio Groove Stage at 4:30pm. It's the final day of Summerfest and it's "Fan Appreciation Day," so general admission will be FREE to those who come between noon and 3pm. After 3pm, tickets are $16. Also included with general admission on the 8th: Sublime, Halestorm, Hanson, B-52s, Bush. July 8th headliner: Neil Diamond. In other news, we recently played the Down & Over, Brody's latest project. It used to be the Bay View Brew Haus, which was all fine and good, but Brody's really improved the place. Better feel, better sound. We had a lot of fun playing there. Thanks to the REVOMATICS and the DIRECTIONALS for joining us.

Steel Bridge Songfest year two was an amazing experience. We played three shows in total; a couple on Friday night, and another on Saturday evening. Had a blast sharing both the stage and our loft suite with our brethren, local rockers WAMSLEY. Stayed up way too late, drank way too much Red Bull, and probably shouldn't have swam in the pesticide treatment area. Oh well. Big thanks to Melanie Jane and Pat Macdonald for having us back, and for the fabulous job they did at hosting the 8TH annual SBSF. It was a weekend for the books. We hope to be back next year. In other news, we were recently invited to play the Beer Garden at Miller Park. Looks like that'll be on September 16th. Brewers vs. Mets. Needless to say, we're super stoked about this. More details to come. And a reminder: FST will be playing a couple shows at Summerfest; July 7th and July 8th. That weekend is gonna be off the hook.
