Lately I've been thinking that it's totally incredible how one minute I can be doing something soo monotonous and then the next an idea pops into my head for a song...minutes later I've a melody line written and lyrics somewhat penned. I've been totally blown away by this. I've been doing this for a long time, but only recently have I come to realise how amazing it actually is. How a sound, word, smell can trigger the deepest emotion and fuel an urge to make it into a song. This to me is a beautiful and precious gift I will never take forgranted.
