There's certain things that can happen in one's life that can make one wonder how it's all finally coming together. Those things would include the following:
- My new 6-song EP "It's Perfect Timing" was put up on iTunes today!
- My single off the EP "You Can't Give Up" was released to all contemporary hit radio stations throughout Canada today (194 of them precisely) - stay tuned and I will be providing a list of all radio stations you can call in your city to request my song!
- A very nice realtor showed a house that I very much liked, and am considering putting an offer on...more house-dreaming tonight to be expected :)
- I met an amazing person today who gave me excellent advice on music, collaboration, business over coffee and and a delicious cheese and chive scone at Whole Wheat & Honey. This same person gave me the exciting opportunity to do a free photo shoot tonight, which was so much fun...I heard repeatedly, "Just think of America's Next Top Model" - because sincerely, I am not one of those, and I guess I needed some coaxing to get more into it. The shoot involved a ladder, some Christmas lights, and of course, me and my guitar. Wait til you see the pics (coming soon)!
I couldn't have asked for a better Thursday, could you?

I've just moved from Victoria, a city of about 325,000 people, to Fort St.John, a small northern town of about 20,000 people. As a musician who often played live in Vic, I really want to find ways to get involved with the music scene in FSJ as well...so I've done a bit of research (see list below) and over the next while, I plan on blogging and updating fans about my progress as I check out each of these enticing music-related endeavours.
1. Singer-songwriters Group at Patch Java - 7pm, Saturdays
2. Open mic at Egan's Irish Pub - 8:30pm, Wednesdays
3. Strawberry Jam - A production of local musicians at the Lido Theatre (occurs every few months)
4. Patch Java's Open Mic - Jan.20 - 6pm
First up will be the open mic at Egan's this Wednesday if my cold goes away, and allows me to play!

A new town for a musician and a new music scene to discover
