Thanks to those who supported my song Let's Go Downtown. It ranked at number 8 on Music Tampa Bay.
I was also happy to see J and Miggi's song Sitting and Thinking at number 5, especially since I helped with some guitar and recording work!

I have been diligently working on my new CD and is sneaking up on completion. I am not ready to reveal the name of the CD but I will tell you that all the songs are written or co-written by yours truly except one song that is traditional and in the public domain. Two songs have co-writers.....one being Kimberly Kime and one being Ed Swartz. There are eight people who are guests on the CD either singing or playing on at least one song.
I really enjoy bringing guests into the studio to add their expertise and spice to the songs. All of the members of the Rose Island Band make an appearance and several other close friends, mostly from the Saint Petersburg area.
I can't wait to get it out there!

Friday night at the Sunset Grill was fun, and a good tuneup for the Trop Rock Junkies' gigs this week....Wednesday, April 3 at Whiskey Joe's and Saturday at the Hideaway Cafe. On Sunday, a private event gets the Rose Island Band back in action following the birth of Mya's baby.

I will be playing with the Trop Rock Junkies on Friday, March 1, at Music on the Bay at Whiskey Joe's in Tampa. We are on from 1:30pm - 3:30pm. I heard there is another band or two but you will not want to miss us!!!

My calendar is filling up for the spring! Lots of shows with the Trop Rock Junkies playing trop-rock (duh!). Shows with the Blue Island Beer Club playing acoustic bluesy folky stuff. And after Mya has her new baby, Folk-Rock with Mya, Doug and Colin (and maybe more people).......

I played with a small version of the Trop Rock Junkies in Key West last week as part of the Meeting of the Minds, a Parrothead convention. Lotsa fun.
This week, we are playing at the Sunset Grille Friday night, the Ribfest Saturday afternoon, and the Veterans Boat Show in Safety Harbor on Sunday afternoon. You have no excuse if you don't catch at least one of these appearances. Details are on the calendar here on Reverbnation.
I will need band aids for my fingers by Monday.
