We just haven't gone back to the studio to mix and master, we're all busy and getting everyone together can prove challenging. But the music was put up specifically for music venues and *wth* maybe garner a fan or two. So We're beginning to plan this tour... Well, I'm not going to do this everyday, fuck that.
One Man Army is feeling better, but I don't know how deep his commitment is to the live performance. We go too many places for a guy who prefers to fly under the radar to feel comfortable traveling around with. I'd like DJ Que to get down, but he gots to get back at me once in awhile... We're at the point where we buy a dj controller and teach smalls how to DJ so we're never short-handed. This is crazy, when I had a bunch of lazy cats I rapped with, we had plenty of DJ's to pick from, now when DKU is the biggest thing in our town right now, no DJ's. It's weird. Maybe its my fault, I was pretty mean back then.

and I am planning for a tour for our group; Completely grassroots, and a crazy idea to boot.
I began this research two years ago and I dropped it all one day, I probably felt some overwhelming feeling, I didn't want to fail. But I have been ready to pick this work up and follow through with it this time. The fellas who I call comrades, seem a little skittish about the tour, my manager is all for it. I think he should sit with me on those researching days. He's a young, energentic, passionate manager, but young and without many connections. At least those you would expect a manager to have when approaching your group with a service. But that may be another blog.
So, I explained the tour for my group, 37 cities, 9 states.
Southwest regional tour.
DKU would be known as a western act for now, I don't see any hinderances in the credit since acts like Pac Div make a living with their level of stardom coming from California.
But not national, not yet.
So I have already compiled live music venues for 4 of these sstates, Smalls has compiled a list of cable providers for a number of the cities, I have yet to peruse this list(I should ask him to bring it to the next meeting), We are going to need accomodations and we have to be resourceful too... There's no daddy warbucks behind us. Also, we will need for every city: newspaper and other media contacts, artists looking to perform with us, dj's in each city(you've gotta allow word-of-mouth to become an actual tool in your inventory) So they can create the type of promo you can't deliver 2,000 miles away, aside from cable stations especially in smaller markets. It won't cost us an arm and a leg, to produce and buy airtime for a commercial to be placed in a town of 30,000 people. Might cost more to run an ad in say, Salt Lake City, UT. So we need that, and, transportation of course, food budget which we know what the absolute unhealthy-eating minimum budget is though.
This and anything you can think of(for a tour far away from home) all needs to be on paper under propriety and processional guidelines before we even make contact with the first person on the list!
So here is the problem, I will blog our progress until the magical day, when we get on the open road and see if we really got the chops for this music thing at all. If not I'll hang it up for sure. YES this tour could fail. YES I may not have a lot of news somedays... But I will try under every effort to provide the interested parties the intel of our mision.

The shows were all on point until, our network in lawrence proved to be built on sand. So when the waves of time came onto the beach, this network washed away and luckily we were only at the door, we still got injured, but we will heal fast and be back on our thing. Watching out for real estate on the beach.
