BRINGING YOU THE BRAAP BARRY GEORGIOU !!
Barry Georgiou, London rapper, recently experienced his first ever gig; giving ‘Its Braap’ the perfect opportunity to gain a little second hand sight into this awesome experience. Why awesome? Read on!!
Details 29th Dec 2010. Venue ‘kudos,’ Kings Lynn, Norfolk UK. very intriguing however Alex Fletche...r and Luke Graham, who make the beats for Barry and are familiar with East Anglia, decided to step out of the London arena and trial Barry’s debut live act in front of an entirely alien audience to obtain an unbiased reaction! The venue was a small bar catering for around 150 people whom Barry was led to believe were keen rap fans. In the event, Barry was shell-shocked, whilst waiting in the wings, to hear the crowd applauding the 5 pre-ceeding rock sets!! Barry stepped up to perform, the pen-ultimate act filled with trepidation having no idea how the crowd would respond to his genre. In addition Barry was used to pre-recorded music and had already accepted the challenge of singing with a live band for the first time. Fortunately Barry was familiar with the band, including Luke Graham on lead guitar and his brother Jake Graham, who knew his songs and had pre-rehearsed them with Barry.
The Kings Lynn rock loving crowd were culture shocked by the first tune!! However, they began to feel the flow and by the 4th track were really into it. Barry received very good audience feedback with people coming up to say that the music had a good feel and energy and they had enjoyed it.
Barry has been interested in music since the age of 15 and was an MC on a pirate station playing garage music. He started seriously writing his own lyrics and songs four years ago and has been asked to write the theme song for a new movie ‘Wide Boys,’ music video to be filmed shortly and the movie due for release next year. Congratulations on a job well done!

first off i'd like to thank you for taking the time to read my blog! Excuse me if i ramble on a bit i am totally new to this stuff!
On my page are two new tracks 'London' and 'My Girl.' They are taken from my album which we are currently working on 'Introducing Me.'
All the lyrics on the album are written by myself (Barry Georgiou) and the production and arrangement is by Alex Fletcher and Luke Graham.
London focuses on the moral turmoil gripping London youth culture. It tackles subjects such as stereotypes, knife crime, post code wars and we even manage to make fun of the parliment expense scandel. You can download London on iTunes now.
My Girl was written about the mother of my lil girl. It features a Croydon based singer called Dreams 2point5 and has an amazing trumpet solo by Alex Fletcher on it!
