We have acquired the entire FANIA Catalog (1962-1985) And Its Associate Companies For salsamagazine.com 520 CD's arrived today in the mail to feature in our ever expanding music archives for both the on line magazine and our FM Radio Program. The Music (from the obscure to Historical high points) will be housed in the WEPAwebTV Studios based in Ohio along with other Salsa Memorabilia being collected to be donated in 2015 to Bowling Green Sate Universities Music and Pop Culture Departments for se in Doctoral Studies Research on Latino Pop Culture 1900-present.

The Department of Popular Culture is an academic department within the College of Arts and Sciences and School of Cultural and Critical Studies and its graduate program is within the Graduate College. Our primary mission is to stimulate teaching and research about popular culture in the state of Ohio, the United States, and the world. Academic offerings in the department include courses leading to the Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees. Our standard curricula each year include courses in theory and methods, folklore, literature, music, television, and film as well as courses developed by faculty in specialized areas such as Asian studies, international popular culture, black popular culture, and youth culture. Our core courses are taught by 10 full-time faculty members who each hold the doctoral degree in such fields as American studies, anthropology, Asian cultures and languages, folklore, and women's studies.

The Music Library and Sound Recordings Archives (ML/SRA) support curriculum in Music, Popular Culture, and American Culture Studies. With almost a million recordings, the Sound Recordings Archives represents the largest collection of popular music recordings in an academic library in North America. Our collections also include books, scores, and video formats covering music studies from multiple angles.

Spicy Salsa Recipe

Okay let me give you a little warning about the salsa on todays radio show: It is not for the faint of heart. Its spicy. Make your eyes water spicy. With that said, it’s not all about the heat, this salsa has a wonderful flavor. Despite the fact that you mouth and ears will feel like they're on fire. You will need: 3 medium tomatoes, cut in quarters 1/2 medium onion, cut in half 1 clove garlic 1 habanero, cut in half (after cutting the habanero, DO NOT touch your eyes before washing your hands. You can also use a plastic glove while cutting it.) 1 tablespoon vinegar 1 handful cilantro kosher salt to taste Place all ingredients except salt in a food processor. Pulse about 8-10 times or until desired texture, you can make it as chunky as you would like. Season to taste with kosher salt. Chill for 20 minutes. Serve.
