Back in the days when I lived in London, like most squatting, the only way to go back then, sadly those days are long gone, again a different story...Because of the cassette culture & Home recording I had many contacts abroad, that and having lived abroad...So I got to know P.Kaa, a belgium musician who'd just released his own single with his band Chapter 69..he came on an extended visit...during his stay we recorded (the technical term being Jammed) a lot, many of these live jams were recorded, we also in a fit of laughter and stonedness, came up with the name Heavy Metal Vampires on Nuclear Waste, the name sort of grew, out of words just being added at the time it became funnier and funnier...so the project was born, we went through the recordings and put together the first release "Coupe De Grace" which is ineffect a live Jam album...For awhile it looked like this would be the only recording H.M.V.o.N.W would make, but I met Belinda, how is long lost in the mist of time, the www wasn't about then..but regardless we met ...Belinda lived in the USA and sent cassettes of material, poetry / soundbites, all kinds of a material,and out of that grew the second release "Wherever you may be" a double album of extreme wierdness...other recordings were made, but sadly lost bcause of a breakin, the unknown intruder toke many of the unreleased mastertapes with him / her, amoungst other stuff...then due to life & stuff there was a break of over ten years where nothing was heard from either Arzathon (then recording using the name Gypsy) or any of his projects. ...then recently the story of H.M.V.o.N.W continued with Belinda and a new member Phil, a recording was released.."Tales From The Crypt Vol.I - Vol.III

..First things first, let me welcome you to this little site, which I'm hoping will become the gateway into my little Rodent Tapes empire here in cyber space. What is Rodent tapes about, music and art in general, in my world art being the only medium that speaks the truth..and lets not mistake things for art that really are not..boybands selling perfume and god knows what else..sexual titillation ..intellectual rape. posing as music / art .. I digress...I'm hoping to make (with your help) Rodent Tapes the place to buy music / art that means something, not just dollar signs for managers and business men..a place where musicians and artists can find out how to run there own labels, promote their own art, become truely independent...where those who love music can speak with the artists they purchase music/art from, either here or using links to facebook and other pages...we live on a planet that is suffering from a spiritual decline, where certain fools spend to much of their time convincing themselves they are better than others, and unless we do something it won't get better...So I hope you will find the time to join the Forum, leave a link, in time I will add it to the Links page..just make yourself at home...
