ever notice how some songs just pour out like water, others take forever?
couldn't sleep last night. don't know why, not like me. so, I'm lying there, my head buzzing with a million thoughts, thoughts like "this can't be happening, I have to go into the office tomorrow", you know those thoughts... so, anyway, I get up, shuffle out to the living room, pick up my L4, and just like that, a song that's perplexed me for years, I mean years (tried a million times and thought it would always live in the “someday” file) just finishes itself. it's like the song was finally ready to be done, and knew that was the do-or-die moment, so it wouldn't let me sleep. so cool.
oh, after that I slept like a baby...
