Sacred 13 recently confirmed it's first appearance in Niagara Falls, NY as part of the Jabbapalooza 3 festival. "We're excited to be building up the buzz there [New York], we've done a few shows recently in Buffalo and the fans seem to be super into it! I think it's a great market for what we're doing.." says Karickhoff. The band will appear live at Jabbapalooza 3 in Niagara Falls, NY on June 8th. And of course, Sacred 13 is also proud to announce that for the first time, the band will finally appear on the 8th annual Metal Massacre Festival to be held the weekend of May 31st-June 1st. News/ Josh Karickhoff talks about new S13 material!
Some really cool new live videos from recent S13 shows have been uploaded to the band's YouTube Channel [www.youtube.com/sacred13band]. Head on over and check them out! And as most know, SACRED 13 has been in the studio working on what will be the band's 5th studio release. "We're incredibly excited! I know I am, for sure! Musicians always hype new music, because it's new and it's fresh, but to truly tell how 'great' it is, it has to stand the test of time. I believe this new music we're creating will do so with no doubts whatsoever. It is breaking boundaries beyond anything we've ever done before; longer songs, limitless creativity, concepts and characters/story telling, in-depth musical and lyrical meaning, you name it! It's SACRED 13 to the MAX!" said Josh Karickhoff recently when asked about the new material. SACRED 13's performance at PACA- Performing Arts Center & Theater this past Friday (April 11th), was filmed to video and is now being published for your viewing pleasure- in it's entirety! You can now re-watch and relive S13's entire performance from Don Frankie Productions' best show to date! The video will be released Monday, April 21st at 1PM EST; on the Facebook Event Page's wall.
What a great show it was! The fans were incredible, the other bands were fantastic, and the overall vibe of the show was superb. If you have not experienced a Don Frankie show in Erie, PA yet, you are severely missing out! Check out the video, and come on out to the next one! See what the band had to say about it themselves!

We've had a few fans write in and ask, and yes, the rumors are true; we here in Sacred 13 land are scheduled to hit the studio soon to begin demoing/putting together some new...shall we say, "beardtastic jams" that we've been working on! (yea we made that up...we're not Scrabble champs). So what does that mean? That means that in the near future, there will be some all-new, heavy, epic, sick and crazy, blazing and headbanging songs headed your way! We are REALLY experimenting and getting creative with these new ones, and with one concept in mind- no limits! Whatever comes out comes out.. No confines whatsoever! SACRED 13 announces 11th Anniversary bash at Sherlocks Park Place in the band’s hometown, Erie PA on May 25th, 2013!
“We’re very excited about this show for several different reasons”, said lead vocalist/guitarist Josh Karickhoff. “One, of course it’s been many months since we've played Erie and we’re excited to be back at Sherlocks. Two, May 25th is the exact date we [known as BlueFire at the time] played our first show together at the Erie Pennsylvania [then called] Pepsi Amphitheater in 2002. So it’s really neat to look back and see how far we've come as a band and how much our music has matured and evolved over all these years. And three, the line-up of the show...
We hand-picked both Whiplash and Kevlar; mainly because I feel as though they’re perfect for it musically, and the concept is there. Whiplash (Tribute to Metallica) represents an old-school band that has heavily influenced us over the years, and Kevlar reminds me very much of us in the sense that you have young musicians who are very serious about what they do, and put in their ‘all’ to do what they love. I see a lot of us when I watch them. So I’m very happy to have this show put together the way that it is.”
