Hey everyone,
I have been on a writing roll, and the tunes are pouring out. It's so liberating to have words and music that ring true flow so beautifully. I can't wait to play these tunes with the guys!
With the new material in mind, I am booking shows for the fall in and around Montreal, maybe stretching to Ottawa. Keep your eyes on the site for news and samples of the new stuff.
Live with integrity, love with abandon.

Hi,
Where to start? With the tunes I uploaded for you to hear, I suppose. First, they are demos. Recorded live to 2-track in my small studio space. Post-session, I added some reverb, EQ and mild compression to the 2 mix, and what you hear is what we did. "Sustaining" and "Loves Her So" are songs I wrote, and it was great to hear them come alive when the boys played them. "The Blacksmith" is a trad tune that I first heard done by Steeleye Span.
Jonathan, Thierry, Seán and Tim are great human beings and seasoned musicians, so it is always a pleasure to be with them making music.
Classically trained (piano and percussion) and steeped in jazz, I have more recently started along the trad and bluegrass paths. I have been singing for as long as I can remember, and although I took some lessons in my teens - one year of classical voice - my instrument is basically raw. During the years and years I spent as a studio cat, I learned to play with my voice. Ultimately, the time in the studio playing and singing led me to pursue a degree in Sound Recording from McGill. I have been co-owner/operator of an indie record label in Montreal since 2002 (ombu.ca), but I am leaving the label to get back to playing music.
I think that's enough about me for now. I hope you enjoy the music I post, and I look forward to hearing from you.
