A new place to stream AWNPOYNT's Music!

Reverbnation has created a new way to stream artist music, and the app is called 'ReverbNation Discover' The app can be downloaded for FREE in either the Google Play store or Apple App store on your smartphone or tablet devices! If you still have the AWNPOYNT app downloaded, please KEEP IT and do NOT DELETE IT! ReverbNation apparently has made all individual artists who had their own app available for download on their platform NO LONGER AVAILABLE . So if you still have the AWNPOYNT app, simply keep it and it should still stream my music. If you'd like to download the ReverbNation Discover app and listen to AWNPOYNT, simply do so, follow the prompts to set up the app to your preferences, then click on the 'Search' option and type in 'AWNPOYNT'. Click the profile and listen away! You can also save AWNPOYNT to a playlist and always go back to the app listen to the 'Recently Played' option to listen over and over again! As usual, we appreciate your endless support in keeping AWNPOYNT a top artist in his region, and we look forward to catapulting to even a higher level in 2016 and beyond! Artistic Rehab Defined

"Artistic Rehab" is a terminology that yours truly (Marcus AWNPOYNT Hayes) creatively coined as the process of rehabilitating one's spirit, physical and/or mental abilities through the creative process of the arts. My latest collection of songs under THE NEW HOPE MIXTAPE VOL. 2: ARTISTIC REHAB is my attempt at vicariously living through (and rehabilitating my spirits) through my muse of choice, music. I feel like I've dug deep with this particular project, and it took me about three years just to get to that Poynt (wink, wink) that I could feel brave and courageous enough to express my self in such a manner, to have my self open to any type of criticism. Though I have been an mc and a performer for awhile now, for me to personally open up, to crack open the door to the inner self, just enough for those to see inside, is a tough thing for myself, and for some others to do as well. So I've chosen to use my muse to heal, to express myself in such a manner that comes easier to me than when I communicate in regular rhetoric. I am also attempting to urge others who may find it more difficult to express themselves in everyday life, to not be afraid to do so through their desired art or muse of choice as well. Let that inner light shine on the world! The primary Poynt of this message is demonstrated in the song I helped create entitled "Don't Be Afraid (Soulstar)" It utilizes a major sample portion from the artist Musiq Soulchild's song titled "Soulstar". I find this song to be highly motivational and simply created my ode to the original artists involved. I hope if they ever get a chance to listen to my take on their creation, that they enjoy it. I have and continue to struggle with doing the aforementioned, yet, I still strive towards correcting those issues of mine through my music. I also hope that you take the time to listen to my words and music, and if you already have, unlimited appreciation sent your way! I appreciate your support over the years! A Comeback of Sorts???

I know it has been months since I've spoken to you. I have gone through some personal changes (and still going through them). The music business side of things that I have been continuously working on for years has taken somewhat of a back seat, and I have been simply getting back to the fundamentals of basic, healthy, human lifestyle.

I am definitely feeling better about things in my personal life. I will be tying the knot in over a years time, have great family and friends, I am extremely thankful and blessed! But...I'm still feening for the mic!

I believe I will be making a return to the stage this summer. I've done some writing here and there, and have a couple new songs that I haven't released yet. But there is one aspect that I miss....and that is the community of artists that I gell with artistically that I once shared the stage with on my come up. I am a bit timid at re-approaching this part of my artistic past, but my heart is telling me its time.

So stay tuned! I will reveal more of whats going down with me and this return to the stage as routinely as humanly possible! God Bless and thanks for your time!

The creation and meaning behind P.O.V. Tv (Poynt of View Television)

Welcome all! Since January 2010, I have been collecting footage for my ongoing online TV show titled P.O.V. Tv (Poynt of View Television) It is based upon my journey through the D.M.V. region (D.C. Maryland and Virginia) and beyond, as I go through the process of creating the new 'me' via my art form of choice at the current time, that art form being music.

If you haven't already listened to my music here on reverbnation, than you should seriously considering jumping off the nearest bridge and ending your life immediately....like right now....for real! Nah, just playing...but you should get up on it! The title of the mixtape is 'The NEW HOPE' and it has a few underlining meanings, but the biggest one is the effort in creating a new sound for todays generation that the mainstream seems to be missing out on and/or have totally forgotten and continue to ignore (from my 'Poynt of View' at least ;-)

So I'm taking it all on my self to bring about a change to the mainstream pop music scene. Hip-Hop is the strong backbone to all the music I create, but there will be other elements and musical genre's infused in my creating of my first solo album 'Freeing The NEW HOPE' I'm actually working on a daily basis to exorcise any demons that may still exist in my spiritual system and become brave enough to create my art and speak upon things that I may never do in casual conversation. P.O.V. Tv will display some candid moments with yours truly, as I work on freeing myself to the world on a daily basis.
