AVQ Productions and Eddies of the Wind Release “Mourning Light” on February 9, 2017.
Announcing the Release of A New Album by Jack Gray and His Eddies of the Wind.
Signal Mountain, TN. —Friday, January 13, 2017 -- A new collection of songs entitled “Mourning Light” will be released by Eddies of the Wind and AVQ
Productions on February 9th, 2017.
A collection of eleven songs consisting of light rock, waltz’s, pop-a-delic renderings and even a couple of avant-garde entries, which should please the most finicky of musical palettes. There is even a mid tempo blues number, “A Thief Among Us”, that closes the album out.
“This is an album that should be listened to in the AM. It’s designed to be a very “chilled out” “sedate” even, style of production. A perfect waking album, “Mourning Light” will open your eyes and get you ready for that second cup of coffee.
“I”ve always wanted to put out a concept album built around the AM hours. In the past I’ve had certain albums that I would listen to in the morning and they seemed to be totally created for that purpose”, Gray explains. “This is the concept behind “Mourning Light”.
Oh and he is the first to acknowledge that the spelling of “Mourning Light” is not the same spelling or same meaning as Morning, as with an AM reference. The album laments the loss of light, love and those who are near and dear to our hearts. As if the new day is a beginning and an end, “Mourning Light” expresses a heartfelt analysis of the sorrow and happiness that we all exist within.
