So I have this bad habit of forgetting that this page even exists so I decided to go through some things here. I first want to say thanks to all of the people out there that enjoy hearing us play and to all my fellow musicians out living the life.
At this time, our lineup consists of myself on guitar and vocals, Mike Emory on bass and vocals, Jase Naron on guitar and vocals, and Brandon Scott on drums. It is a really fun lineup that I feel privileged to lead week in and week out. You can also catch either Mike and I or Jase and I around town playing duo gigs.
Last, I hear a lot of people complaining about the state of music and the state of the local music scene. I have to say that while I can agree on a lot of points, I am enjoying the hell out of playing and singing, learning new songs, meeting new faces, and thinking of new and exciting ways to make fun of Brandon. Most people never get the chance to do what they love to do as a job and I have been fortunate that right now I have 2 "jobs" that both challenge and excite me and keep me interested and involved even when I am dead tired and the idea of going back to a steady paycheck sounds really great. SO.. Cheers to you fellow musicians out there as well as the people who support us, the venues that hire us, the families that let us pretend were are still teenagers (well except for Brandon because he still is-- LOL), and the drunk people requesting the songs none of us want to play anymore.... It would not be the same without any of you.

Well, I am happy to say I am finally getting back to being a gigging musician again. I have missed it. Doing an occasional show here and there is not the same as being out and about playing music for people. It looks like I will be teaming up for a 3-4 piece acoustic covers band and probably throwing some of my originals out there as well. Hell, we may even actually write some shit.... Who knows. Anyway, check out my reverbnation and/or facebook sites for dates (I just posted a bunch of upcoming shows) or just keep checking back with me. If anyone knows a great venue we should hit up, shoot me an email and we will cehck it out. As always, thanks for supporting local musicians. In parting, remember my words of wisdom....The more you sound, the better I drink.....

Well, I used to do these rants and blogs all the time back when I just emailed it out and told funny stories about my bass player, the girl scouts, and the meaning of life. I figured I might as well get on here occasionally and say something again just for my own sanity. Not that talking to yourself is generally considered sane, but we will ignore that for awhile. Anyway, where have I been lately? Good question. Between a couple suregeries, a couple nervous breakdowns, a flood, and way to many hours of CNN, I don't have the slightest clue where I have beem, where I am going, or how I plan to get to this fictional place I am heading towards. That said, all is peachy. I got a great wife, 2 kids, and am back out playing music so what else more can I ask for.
Now that we are all caught up and stuff, here is the important question of the day. I'll try to keep this one short. How in the hell did we ever get to the point that I can get more news out of 1/2 hour of John Stewart and 1/2 hour of Southpark than I can watching 6 hours of any combination of the the major news networks. I am serious on this. The main news networks ALL are so stuck in their own little niche of pundits and ego filling BS that actual news neither matters or is encouraged. WOW, the dems lost the house... Yep, never happened before in a 1st midterm election with 9% unelmployment and 2 wars going on?? WTF. Now we have to listen to this shit for the last 3 months and the next 2 at least I bet. Maybe they could spend some more time covering our boys overseas (other than to see whom to blame for whatever they want to blame them for...)What about covering the people still homeless and dying in Haiti. Sean Penn can be a prick but he is still down there helping people out. Hell, maybe they could even actaully discuss what is going on in the country instead of just all the politcal fallout of it. I DO NOT GIVE A FUCK ABOUT WHO WON OR LOSS, BUT WHOSE GOING TO HELP FIX ALL THE SHIT. The dems need to agree to some spending cuts, the Repubs need to actually maybe try to do their jobs, and Obama needs to be the leader he occasionally shows up to be. That said, FUCK IT. I'm going to go and watch Southpark and see waht's going on in the world.
