Some more thoughts on the CD part 2

5. At The Intergalactic Bar – I love Sci-Fi, so robots in a bar in a galaxy far far away enjoying a drink and dancing their processors off. Funny vision. 6. Supersonic – Paying homage somewhat to one of my favorite bands Kraftwerk. I have listened to these guys for quite a few years. There influence is seen in many different types of music from rock to hip hop. The syncopated beat of a generation. 7. Space Cruzin – Again, my fascination with Sci-Fi. Just cruising along the stars in a spaceship built for two. Hee Hee Hee 8. Caught In A Daydream – A place and time away from reality. I love the piece of music by Percy Faith entitled Theme From A Summer Place. The drifting of thoughts through a musical landscape. Reminiscing or lamenting of love, love lost and how things should be or should of have been or were. Forever trapped in your mind. Ah take me there, at least for the moment. 9. To The Lady Of The Moon – This was sort of a piece of music put together from a bunch of samples, and original music. This was my first journey into using the computer for my music. The piece was written for my wife Cynthia who has always allowed my idiosyncrasies . Cynthia is also the Goddess of the Moon, so therefore the reference to the Lady of the Moon. 10. On The Intergalatic Bypass – Ah yes another reference to space. But this is about the shortcuts or bypasses that we do through our own life/space. Our world is built on getting everything done fast. We eat, socialize, work, and go through personal relationships in such a hurry. Taking shortcuts to save time, when you finally realize that you always had the time. The time to take with your friends, your family and with yourself. We become so indulgent in a lot of things we do that we tend to forget that time goes at its own pace with no relation to how we perceive time, it’s just OUR time management skills that lack to live our lives within the synchronicity of universal time. We must embrace the time we have not the time we wish we had. 11. A Night On The Brocken – This is the soundtrack to a Witches bad ass flight over The Brocken, the highest mountain in the Harz mountain range in Northern Germany always associated with Witches and magic. Blessed Be. 12. Funky Monkey – Just a piece that was fun to make. Entitled Chunky Monkey at first but alas, Ben and Jerry had beaten me to it. 13. New Day – When we finally let go of the past and finally have a state of independence within ourselves. We can change things by just saying NO! No to hate, war, and prejudices. It isn’t up to someone or something else. IT IS UP TO OURSELVES. In order to change the world you need to change your world around you. There is no excuse. 14. The Journey Home – The circle comes around. A trip filled with sadness but joy at the same time. With every new beginning something has to end. One chapter to the next. Bring on the new adventure!

Some thoughts on my music CD "Not The Usual Landscape"

Just a few notes on the music created on my CD 1. Take Off From Runway 7 - This piece of music comes from an inside joke my friends and I have at work. Runway 7 is representative of a flight to nowhere. This is a description of a bad day and no matter what you do it goes nowhere. 2. A Long Way Home - Sort of a insightful song about being born into this world but realizing that the world we are living in is not really our home but like a rest stop on our journey back to our real home. So this music is about the realization of this and the longing to continue our journey back home. 3. Let Yourself Go – Basically we tend to put on many faces in our lives. At work, relationships, and with ourselves. These faces are really not you, but we tend to put them on to fit into what we perceive as normal realities, usually hiding or smothering the true self in order to fit in. Let Yourself Go is just about cranking up the music and being a free spirit and dance, sing, JUST RELEASE YOUR INNER SELF. Be yourself! 4. Sisters – Written for my two girls. The music sort of represents their growing up and their relationship with each other. Loving and caring about each other to wrestling over who uses the phone. Teenagers, frustrate the heck out of you but you got to love them! This is only a quick thought on part of the CD. I will add the rest in another blog entry. Bright Blessings and Good Journeys to you all Sig
