We haven't said much about the CD for a while, so I figured maybe I should say something.
But we'll start with a couple of extreme adventures. Last Friday we played a short set at The Vineyard, it was cool, and I got to show off my Poison Ivy/similar plant induced rash to a number of people.
The next day, we drove down to Rochester and played a show in a small skate park with some cool bands and our friends Polis (VERY GOOD). It was an incredibly hot and humid event, and being covered in a vicious itchy rash, I figured I should probably keep my shirt on so people wouldn't start leaving. The show (and the entire trip) was amazingly fun, one of the funnest shows we've played so far. The next day my car's brakes decided it was time to quit, luckily most of the band and all of our gear made it back to Duluth in the van. So me, Lydia, and some homies had an intense day of auto shop hangage, and greyhound riding (the bus also quit on us, and we had to wait 2-3 hours for a new one). Anyway, it was a very fun weekend.
Onto the CD. We're now shooting for a release sometime this September. It'll be Self-titled 13 or so tracks for $10. We'll be selling it at some local stores, some places in the cities, itunes, amazon, probably some other webstores, and of course at shows.
We're getting the Album cover and all of the booklet art and whatnot ready, so expect a new layout, and our website to be filled with lots of stuff. Around that time we'll probably have preorders and preorder packages and all that ready too.
We'll also planning on having a CD release show with some VERY cool bands. More on that as things progress.
I think that's about it for now. More bloggage will come as things move forward.
Enjoy your day, Michael James Billig
P.S. check out the new Mew cd, it is very good.
