Current mood: hopeful
There's nothing like sitting in a pitch-black room staring at a bright computer screen. I feel like I'm 200 years in the future. I'm guessing, outside there would be.....let's think of something different than star wars. But I suppose Star Wars was right, even Star Trek. Even when I want to think of a different future, I can imagine it going differently. Thoughts of distant future=flying machinery, beaming, war, world run by technology. Suvival of the fittest!
Yikes...I'd rather think about something else. La La La La La, LALA,.....deeeee deeeeee daaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
How many mistakes would you say a human makes in his/her life? You can answer by percentage. I'm curious. I sound like the bottom of a Snapple Bottle Cap. I just learned that you "spend 6 months of your life waiting at stop signs and red lights"(Snapple Bottlecap)
I thought it was an interesting fact.
Our video director Ryan came over the other day, and showed me one of those websites that have autopsy's, car accidents, etc. I'm not sure if I should have seen that or not. It was very uncomfortable to watch. I've been having exrtremely odd dreams because of it. In one, I had to go to a surgeon, and get half my head cutt off, so that my brains we're were completely vunerable to air, and basically anything on the exterior. Then the doctor sewed my head back up, and I had to play a concert. I remember having a few conversations with some people, and then I woke up.
I felt like sharing that story with you. Please tell me some of your stories. And everyone else who reads this. Get all your friends to come add their stories as well. Thanks for coming to ADD Hour With Ben.

something other than driving...
Current mood: calm
Lately it seems like it's all we do. Drive. And drive some more. And then more. And then traffic. And then rest. And then play a show. And that makes it all worth it. Right now we're on our way toward Albuquerque, NM but we're gonna stop in Amarillo for food (YUM YUM!) and rest, maybe some wine and if our monopoly board hadn't been ruined by a leak in the trailer last night, maybe monopoly. But definitely, there is fun to be had. I guess you could say we all have mild cabin fever at this point, but listening to Queens of the Stone Age always makes the time go by a little more aggressively. I hope everyone out there knows that yes, we are going to post the "Polly Anne" video soon on our myspace page. But patience patience patience. We have all kinds of awesome things coming up, and everyone (the big dogs) wanna wait to premiere it until those things happen. But soon, I swear. We're so proud of the video and wanna share it with all our friends. So look out for it in the near near future. I promise. And I am no politician so it will come true. xoxoxoxo, Steph

9-22-06 Taco Bell-Feed The Beat gives Agent Sparks free food....
Category: Food and Restaurants
So we just found out that we've been chosen to to be part of the this Taco Bell sponsored event called, "Feed The Beat". We are so stoked, because we're going to be able to eat free taco bell after we play for the next month. So, if you want to find us after our shows, just look for a Taco Bell. I'll probably be hula hooping outside the restaraunt thinking of twilight summer nights.
Love,
Ben

It's 9:35pm, and were driving behind yet another mac-truck. Wait were moving now, passing the truck, which means were out of California. Finally can go faster than 55 MPH. With about 12 more hours to get to Denver, I shall sit patiently listening to music. I might sit in a few different places for the drive, until I literaly go insane, or I'll just drive the rest ofthe way. Oh good, I like this record. We're now listening the Coldplay record "A Rush Of Blood To The Head". Great driving record. For some reason, everytime I listen to this record I feel like it's sunny out. I get a similar feeling when I listen to Beck's "Sea Changes". So, I have a few choices. I can lye down. I can sit up. I can type, which I'm doing. Or I can go in the back of the van and watch a movie or play my new favorite video game, Castlevania for XBOX. Let me tell you, I've been waiting so long to play a new game I like. I was completely addicted to Halo 1 and 2 (even though I think Halo 1 was way better). I would go into various game stores, and buy new or used games, and would be so dissapointed. Then I came across the new Castlevania (not the old Nintedo version). I play that game for so long, my band has to turn the music up, just so they don't hear me pounding on the buttons, destroying Ghouls, Goblins, Zombies, Skeletons, and some serious main characters. I just earned an incredible sword, shield, and armor. I can now say, I'm a serious threat to be reckoned with. I can do rolling move combos with a spear. They're rediculous. I'll slice up a skelton in one swipe. Anyway, so that's my life for the next 15 hours, and I wanted to share that with you. I think I'm gonna go back to listening to music. I"m not in the mood to destroy things right now. I'd much rather listen to a Phish record instead. Or Coldplay.....YES we're in traffic!!!!!
Love,
Ben

So I'm sitting in the apple store patiently awaiting for my name to be called. My lap top computer has decided to not close and stay closed. My only hopes are that the nice gentlemen at the Genius Bar can fix it for me. Chances are, my computer's going to have to be sent in to get fixed, which to be honest freaks me out, because I don't know if I could part with my computer for an extended period of time.
Let's move on to the tour, as I'm sure you don't really want to hear me babble about my computer problems. I feel really proud to be part of this tour. All of our bands together I think paint a really nice picture. The Strays, are a lot of fun. Pretty fast and heavy stuff. And Veruca Salt, just seems to make my stomach feel all warm inside. I feel like all three of our bands share many of the same musical influences, yet each of us sound completely different. That's why I think the whole show paints a nice picture. Last night in Atlanta, GA, when Veruca played the song "Seether", we all raided the stage and sang it with them. If you can, you should come out to see one of these shows. I promise you'll have a splendid time. Until then, I'll be sitting hear on this hard, wooden bench, waiting for the Genius.
