Kumasi MC / Blog

the whither and other nonsense

so, hey. hi. yup. i've been up to some... stuff. my band (Kumasi) currently has an ep finished (titled, complicatedly, "DEBUT EP") which you can hear at kumasi.bandcamp.com i, myself, luke, or kumasimc (note the mc) have also been busy on a rather strange project. i hope to expand into other mediums eventually but for now the jist is this. "the whither (or johnny gagnon's greatest hits)" is an ongoing, hopefully (at least as long as is physically possible) never-ending album. bits and pieces can be found on this page, soundcloud.com/kumasimc and kumasimc.bandcamp.com. the only way to hear the full thing, and have continued access to it (currently) is via google drive. think of it as a digital album that hangs out in your mailbox. the google drive contains all songs, lyrics and photos pertaining to the album and is updated as the album is continually developed. i think eventually there will be some other method of pursuing this but for now i'm taking inspiration from the almighty They Might Be Giants and their groundbreaking "Dial-a-Phone" and utilizing google drive as a method of allowing people instant access to my newest music as soon as it is made. if you would like access to it (yes, gmail is if not required, certainly recommended) please send an email to thesoundboy@gmail.com with the header "johnny gagnon" and i will add your email to the access list. frankly, i'm not expecting much. but really i'm very proud of what my little cloud-album already is. ok, i'm done typing i think. thanks for any who read this. i gotta go have some words with Velstadt the Royal Aegis.

Kumasi is coming

On the way to finishing the album and forming the band lineup... stay tuned
