Here are some guidelines:
1. Don’t tell us you can bring out a group of fans if you can’t. If you are still trying to build a following ask to be put on the cancellation list. Bands cancel last minute all the time. If you play one of these shows because we called you from the cancellation list, we don’t expect you to bring out many fans. But if your’ a regularly scheduled act who brings out zero fans, then your’ not being fair to other bands, to the venue, and to Seven Bridge Productions. Remember, these events are a great opportunity for bands to introduce themselves to each other, and each other’s fans. It’s a team effort - so promote the hell out of your Seven Bridge Productions show and get as many people out as possible.
2. Don’t over saturate. If your band played in the area within a 2-week range of the Seven Bridge Productions show, it is unlikely that many people will come out to see you again. Seven Bridge Productions is an ongoing event, so sign up for the show date that leaves at least 2 weeks from your last appearance in the area. Again, refer to guideline #1.
3. Do not flake out or cancel at the last minute. If you are unsure if your band will be able to attend – don’t sign up until you are.
4. Bands are responsible for bringing their own instruments.
5. Seven Bridge Productions team will work the door. Guests will be asked which band they have come to see and statistics will be kept. The door charge is $5. Your band will receive $2.00 for each ticket sold, and Seven Bridge Productions will receive $3.00 (to offset the show promotion costs & the mobile studio time).
6. There is no guest list. Everyone pays the cover.
7. Bands will split the cost of the live sound engineer. Sound engineers fee for the night is $100. Each band will pay a %. This payment must be made on or before the date of the show. Bands that don’t pay this fee will not take the stage.
8. Seven Bridge Productions will decide the order of the bands. Who goes on first, second, third, and last.
9. Each show will be 5+ bands. We ask that each band stick around when finished playing, and support the other bands yet to play. We also ask that you encourage your fans to stick around for the performances of the other three bands.
10. Seven Bridge Productions will pre-screen all bands and decide who plays.
11. Bands who attend Seven Bridge Productions shows as audience members, and who show their support to the indie music community, will increase their chances of playing at future Seven Bridge Productions shows.
12. Bands must show up on time with all of their gear at the time agreed upon for sound check. If you miss sound check your show time may get bumped to the end. Bands that sound check play first regardless of the previously arranged band order.
13. Major points go against bands who play wasted – heavily under the influence of alcohol, or drugs. In other words, if you play wasted, it’s the last Seven Bridge Productions show you will play. Remember, your talent will be assessed by professionals - make sure you act like one.
14. These are all age’s shows.

I dont know how much it costs to record
How much does it cost? & how long will it take? It's all about time and it's never the same:
There are many variables involved such as how many times you go over your part until you are pleased with your performance. Three times or thirty three times? Multiply that by the amount of parts in a song and the number of songs you will record.
One estimate for a simple arrangement with a well-rehearsed 4 piece group would be 6 hours per song (loosely figured at 1 ½ hours for every finished minute of music). Others say an hour per finished minute to track and for every hour of tracking figure 2 hours to mix. For a 3 ½ minute song: 3 ½ + (2 x 3 ½ = 7) = 10 ½ hours working out to 3 hours per finished minute. More time, especially in mixing, usually means better quality. Many engineers not only mix on a different day but will only mix one song a day and take the whole day. There is also the option to remix a song again and have many versions. Mastering a complete album with no major problems averages about 45 minutes a song. One song alone would take longer.
The best mixing sessions are done on a different day with fresh ears and lots of breaks interspersed throughout the mixing.
A real fast band recording, which know all their parts and are very well rehearsed, could do 10 songs, some instrumental, some with vocals, in 18 hours on 3 different session dates. Here is the approximate time breakdown: 6 hours recording, 8 hours mix, 4 hours edit & master.
Steely Dan was known for spending a year recording an album and their popularity and reputation shows it worked for them.
There is a balance between being too rushed to do a good job and knowing when to stop. Some musicians can be their own worst critic and hit a point of diminishing returns. You don't want it to become endless. Part of a producer's job description is to say it is finished and time to move on to the next project.
For some people "how long" may mean a song in 3 or 4 hours, for others 3 or 4 days, and in some cases 3 or 4 months.
The big question: "How long does it take?" is closer to the impossible question. I hope this gives you some helpful insight. Bottom line: time spent on the right things with a good engineer increases quality.

Demos
A demo tape or CD can play a major role in many aspects of your being a successful musician. When you want to sing or play somewhere new, or just a keepsake for your family, you’re demo is your calling card and the key to opening doors. This could be all they know about you and what they base a decision on. Your first impression is vitally important and a bad, unprofessional demo with mistakes will close doors. You don’t get a second chance to make a first impression. The critical difference in getting positive results projecting a professional image is to capture your best performance with excellence. Demos need no more than 3 songs unless more are requested. If your budget is limited it is better to do 1 song very well than 3 not so well. A good medium is to pick your best 2 songs that are different enough to show some diversity. All that’s necessary on a demo is a clearly printed label on the CD or tape itself with your contact information.

In addition, music critics, producers, and writers will be encouraged to attend these shows to write about and give feedback to each band that participates. Exceptional shows will be written about and posted on the Seven Bridge Productions blog, detailing the event, and the bands that stand out.
