FACE's first project Mr.Midwest ( available for free download at www.m4ent.com/illvision ) was strongly marketed towards young ladies, and the club/party scene and had huge success with that demographic.
THE DEFIANT ONE is a creative and much more personally intense HIP HOP project. FACE gives you better insight to himself (Will Wiser) by touching on such subjects as personal heartache, depression, legal troubles & substance abuse; while also speaking on his love for his family, his hopes, dreams, goals & aspirations in life, love & music. There are also a few joints in there to remind people why we say we are the best!!
The musical ensemble is a mix of various Hip Hop styles fused with some rock, & reggae and are all represented sonically in a way that can make you party or relax, drown in your sorrows or just enjoy life, think deeply or just let your mind drift away. Sounds vary from laid back, relaxing, to in your FACE party jams, & everywhere in between!
I (HALUSiN8) am very honored & privileged to be a part of this project, not only with my guest appearances but also as the executive producer. As a huge fan & critic of HIP HOP, I am proud of my homie for putting together a project that MUSIC fans of all genres will enjoy & all HIP HOP fans will love!

Ying Yang Twins at NMU Homecoming 2010
Black Student Union presents THE YING YANG TWINS at NMU HOMECOMING 2010!
This event will take place September 25th, 2010 in the Great Lakes Room in the University Center! Doors open at 10pm with a $10 cover for NON-STUDENTS, NMU STUDENTS ARE FREE, opening act will be PPI with our HEADLINER the Ying Yang Twins. We'll be keeping the party going until 2AM with Marquette's own female DJ, DJ Mo joined by CodeMan from NMU Hip Hop Coalition on the mic.
For those of you who don't know (COME ON!) the Ying Yang Twins is an Atlanta-based American crunk rap duo consisting of Kaine and D-Roc. The group debuted in 2000 and rose to mainstream popularity in 2003 collaborating with Lil Jon in his single "Get Low". In 2004 and 2005, Ying Yang Twins became more popular with party singles "Salt Shaker", "What's Happnin", "Shake", and "Badd".
Come out and join us, this is going to be a night NO ONE will forget. Let's gooooooo Marquette!

Crisco Kidd Block Party
Crisco Kidd is a radio personality/dj from Houston, TX who has since relocated to Albuquerque, NM and is on Power 106 FM. He is also a cancer survivor of Testicular cancer. DJ Rockwell is one of the most well skilled DJs and has been in the game for over 10 years, partnering with Crisco Kidd on his show, "Crisco Kidd Block Party". They both came here last year and rocked Marquette, and now we're ready to do it again.. and this time we're doin' it big!
That's right people, Crisco Kidd and DJ Rockwell are back in Marquette to throw the two biggest parties Marquette has ever seen!
Come join us Thursday, March 25th for the 2nd annual "Party For The Cure" pink & black party for breast cancer research. All proceeds go to the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and it's LADIES NIGHT! Gift bags and cake buffet from Joe's Cakes for the first 50 ladies. Giveaways and door prizes all night long and pink beads for sale throughout the night.
Local female DJ, DJ Mo will be on the turntables with Crisco Kidd on the mic.
If you love music, you'll love this event. Friday March 26th, join us again for "Music for The Cure" in memory of DJ AM. This event is sponsored by Vh1 Save The Music Foundation, NMU Hip Hop Coalition and Radio X. DJ Rockwell will be doing it Houston style with a video bar and CodeMan from Hip Hop Coalition on the mic with Crisco Kidd all night long! Come celebrate life, music, and show support for a great cause. Door prizes and free giveaways for everybody!
