I'm a Music Artist, All Styles

Thanks to everyone who has became a fan and has helped inspire me to keep coming up with more music, both original and my spin on covers. Hope I've touched you in some way and have lifted your spirits.

I now have posted over 30 songs. I consider myself a music artist, so I write and play from wide and diverse genres. Please take the time to sample the variety I've posted. There is more to come. Way more. My hope is to get some of my music used in movies or TV.

My new band, ZIPPERFOOT is rolling along quite well. We hope to see you at a show.

AGAIN..... THANK YOU for your continued support and inspiration!

THANK YOU!!! Dex is in a great new band!

As the saying goes, "put it out there and the universe will provide".

As of mid January, I have become a guitarist in a Chicago band that has tremendous potential. It certainly has outstanding musicians. You'll be reading more about ZIPPERFOOT soon. Currently, we have enough material to a solid 2 hour set. I will be setting up a ReverbNation site as well as our webmaster setting up our dot com.

Thanks to Joe V, Eli, Ruben, Ruben#2 and Patric. I admire them as people and respect them highly as musicians.

I will be adding new Dex original material in the near future.

More to come. Stay tuned.

Most importantly THANK YOU ALL for your inspiration and support!!!!

I'M READY TO WORK HARD WITH YOU TO SUCCEED!!!

Times are not easy these days. Truly, I know I'm not alone in these hard economic times.

I, like many of our fellow musicians and artists, am feeling the crunch.

I'm looking to augment my other efforts. I am looking for an established working band or artist that can use a versatile seasoned pro guitarist-keyboardist- percussionist with pro gear and pro commitment.

Those who I have played with over the years both in original and cover bands know I can elevate their game profoundly, and invariably, their projects have benefited greatly.

In addition to my playing, writing and production skills, I have my email lists, fan base and web pages to add value.

As well as a few good contacts around town.

PLEASE, only serious offers from established working bands and artists.

I highly respect professionalism and ethics, and I expect the same.

I am also looking for musicians interested in working on my original projects as well.

I'm pulling no punches here, I'm looking for select musicians who are looking to back me up and my vision.

On this front, I am not looking to water down or compromise in any way. I do a great job as a "One Man Band",

so I am looking only for a perfect fit and support. I have industry contacts very interested in what I have already and will promote "the full machine".

I remind myself, truly some of the best work comes out of tough times. That's part of being an artist.

This always brings out the best in me, both as a person and as artist. I hope it does for you too.

I'm wishing everyone out there in this demanding business who are in it for the right reasons,

nothing but the best of luck and power to realize your hopes, dreams and visions beyond your wildest expectations.

Please, only private messages.

Thanks!

JD

Out of the gate

I just opened my REVERB NATION account and proceeded to stay up til 6:30am JUST wandering bug eyed around the site and all it's tools. And still had things left to check out. I haven't been this stoked in a LONG time. About anything.

This site is the bomb for all of us independent musicians. It's thorough, and is based on what works in this new music marketing frontier. And what's more, it connects ALL the dots. It links all the other music sites we use in a very easy and logical way. Why didn't I THINK OF THAT?! Well, I did (who hasn't) but didn't have a clue as to how to do it software-wise. GREAT JOB Neal!

And I admittedly put off setting up here because I thought it was yet another "post and run" site which gets buried in the impacted bowels of bookmarks. OK Alex, I'll take "Bad Moves for 200".

So on THAT note, I just promise to give it my all. I have tons to do both artistically, production wise and in music biz marketing. But then, who doesn't?

To all my personal musician friends and to the ones I'm sure I'll connect with... May '09 be the BEST YEAR YET for everyone everywhere
