Half Pack LIVE!!!” Half Pack LIVE!!! is a "Vegas-style" show band that’s bouncy, fun, well-delivered entertainment reminiscent of the old Vegas Strip when Frank and Dino were Kings. Mark Haynie and Troy Kline are veteran singers and entertainers that bring a big FUN FACTOR to every performance. They are not a tribute band… they don’t copy what the Rat Pack did, but they certainly have the same level of charisma and humor, swagger and flair that keeps audiences enchanted all night long. Half-Pack LIVE!!! has performed well over 100 gigs in the past year alone and are a polished, charismatic, professional entertainment package that is not only flexible and talented, but pride themselves on being “a dream to work with.” You have enough concerns in putting together an event – worrying about what the band will be like shouldn’t be one of them. “The Pack” will cover all details of the gig in advance and arrive early with a clear understanding of your desires and requests. Half Pack LIVE!!! - Not your father's Sinatra...
How it started? For more than 20 years Mark Haynie and Troy Kline have sung to audiences throughout the Northwest, the West Coast and Europe. In February 2007 Troy began work on a solo recording project entitled “Crooner.” He asked Mark to provide an unbiased ear and honest perspective to ensure his vocal tracks were on target. Mark ultimately co-produced the CD and they’ve been selling rapidly. Troy’s intent to continue as a jazz entertainer led him again to involve Mark to assist him in developing a solid stage show. Together they booked a performance at an Issaquah wine and jazz bar – not as the whole Rat Pack, but half-a-pack – and Half Pack LIVE!!! was born. The first performance not only thrilled the audience but also caught the attention of the Editor-in-Chief of the Issaquah Press. Her glowing 2-page story on the band, as well as word-of-mouth, helped pack the venue the following week and for three months Half-Pack LIVE!!! became the routine Thursday night destination for seemingly everyone in Issaquah. The Half-Pack LIVE!!! reputation quickly spread and at this time are now the most sought-out big band swingers in the region. Their new production, "Big Night Out", has recently sold out two nights in Issaquah's Fist Stage of the Village Theater. Including performances by Karen Motherway as Marilyn Monroe, headline comedians Rod Long and Cathy Sorbo, dancers Chris and Alison Evans along with the Half Pack LIVE!!! orchestra, "Big Night Out" will be appearing in performing arts centers throughout the Northwest and beyond in the very near future. Troy and Mark are careful to note that they’re not a Rat Pack “tribute.” They perform the same material as Frank and Dino, but they have imprinted their own personalities and style in the same fresh spirit as the entertainment icons of 50 years ago. Half-Pack LIVE!!! is the Northwest’s Premier Rat Pack revue and has returned the sparkle of “performance” entertainment to audiences throughout the region. Think Las Vegas – Dean Martin and Sinatra at the Sands back in the early 50’s… All the glamour and bounce, swing and style of that marvelous era with the songs we’ll remember forever.
