Updates from the Garden

- EN - Hello folks... it's been a while since the last update. I plan often to be more consistent in the updates, but I end up on time to neglect them. Tonight I take the opportunity of the absence of sleep to jot down a few lines. 1 - CANZONI IN RITARDO, our first album is bearing fruit: - In October 2015 we earned a premiere on Rockit.it (the most important Italian music portal) as single of the week thanks to the video related to our first single, "L'equilibrio": https://www.youtube.com/watch ? v = 4xMuD7ajkhE; - 2nd place in the standings "Radio Airplay" as an emerging band more broadcast in Italy on the independent circuit: November 2015; - 37th place in the standings "Radio Airplay" as an independent band as transmitted in Italy: November 2015; - another important award was the monograph on "The circus of the Red Flying Baron" by Red Ronnie (surely the most influential music journalist in Italy) in December 2015; - and finally the Uniweb Tour: 12 concerts / interviews in 12 web radios of the most important universities in Italy: April 2016. 2 - To thank those who follow us and celebrate our tour, we have produced thanks to our photographer (Luigi Pietro Scantamburlo) a simple lyric video of the song that generally is more requested live, "Un posto per noi": https: // www.youtube.com/watch?v=SK7sDBZrKqM. 3 - April was a very important month for us even for the filming of what will be the 3rd video in support of the 2nd single from CANZONI IN RITARDO: RIFLESSI. The video was shot in Rome thanks to the contribution of a great director, Francisco Grimaldi. It will, as usual, a work full of dichotomies, deep and elegant. But I will not say much, I'll prefer to leave to those who will see it the freedom to interpret it. 4 - In the meantime the band after a year spent in seeking a final formation, tired of only using session musicians, finally seems to have found stability with the addition of two new musicians, Alberto and Giulio. We are then 5, I, Luke, Daniel, and newcomers. 5 - The last gigs are giving good satisfaction and we can therefore continue to write new songs thinking to re-enter the studio in early 2017. In January, we recorded an EP live in the studio with 6 new songs, we called it "The Soviet Sessions". Currently we do not know if we'll publish it in digital form, if we will use the tracks for the b-sides or whatever. Certainly what emerges from the first listen is an evolution both in sound and in the topics covered and how it should be, the songs seem much more beautiful than in the first record (which still continues to get excellent reviews). I'm also writing a lot of new material and I am extremely satisfied about it. This is a bit the summary of the last few months. We expect a summer pretty tough, with several concerts and probably the appearance in some festivals... In short, we are trying to do our best to promote our first record and in general our music. We hope to see you at our next concerts. Our site is constantly updated with regard to our live shows, as well as Facebook. New Album

-EN- It 's been a long time since the last post on this blog. Unfortunately, I tend to focus my energies on too many things with the result of forgetting important things like communicating with anyone who follows (without my knowledge) the band. With this brief statement, I want to announce that finally the wait for my new project, the first album of My Escort has been completed. In a few days we will give it to the press CANZONI IN RITARDO, the highly anticipated debut album. The current official release date of the album is March 31, 2015, but may be subject to a variant (this time in advance!). At My Escort Home we are all excited and in the same time, in addition to the disc printing, we are working on the promotion and on the video with which we will try to push the first single. We really hope that it is worth it to wait so long, meeting the tastes of those who have followed my and our adventures over the years. Purtroppo tendo a concentrare le mie energie su troppe cose col risultato di tralasciare cose importanti come le comunicazioni con chi segue (senza che io lo sappia) la band. Con questo breve comunicato, voglio annunciare che finalmente l'attesa per il mio nuovo progetto, il primo album dei My Escort è ormai terminata. Tra qualche giorno infatti daremo alle stampe CANZONI IN RITARDO, l'atteso debutto discografico. L'attuale data ufficiale di uscita dell'album è il 31 marzo 2015, ma potrebbe subire una variante (stavolta un anticipo!). In casa My Escort siamo tutti eccitati e contemporaneamente, oltre alla stampa del disco, stiamo lavorando sia alla promozione, sia al video col quale cercheremo di spingere il primo singolo. Speriamo davvero che sia valsa la pena attendere così a lungo, incontrando i gusti di chi ha seguito le mie e le nostre avventure in questi anni. A prestissimo, Viz.

Hi to everyone...

In a rare moment of relax I'm finding the time to write a mail to all the fans and the curious all around the world..

What a year this 2012! After a long time, a lot of lineup changes, miles and miles under the wheels and more than one million notes played, MY ESCORT found stability, the inner peace to take place in a studio starting to work on an album that is waiting to be listened for too long...

On the 21/22/23th of december we'll be again in the studio to record the last pre-production session. “Canzoni in ritardo” is taking a beautiful shape. Since 2008 the songs are grown up, like the little children's changes on the early years of life.

“Canzoni in ritardo”, like someone knows, finds an home at MATTEO FRANZAN'S BASS DEPARTMENT RECORDINGS... He were with me already in “Primavera a gennaio” (2007). Probably the circle could not close that there, in a way that I would call “natural” and the whole band could not be happier than this.

I don't believe that the world will end on the 21th of this december... I think rather that the album that will comes out from the final round of that pre production sessions (which will start exactly on the 21th) will be the end of the world!

Luca, Jack, Alberto and I wish you a Merry Christmas, close to the people you love and an intense 2013, full of life, energy and good vibes. I wish it to everyone and to our beloved Earth, hoping that the much-discussed “end of the world” is to be understood as the beginning of a new period, clean, full of peace and abundance of good things for all.

- IT - Ciao a tutti...

In un raro momento di relax, trovo il tempo di mandare una mail a tutti i fans e ad i curiosi persi per il mondo...

Che anno il 2012! Dopo un lungo peregrinare, diversi cambi di formazione, chilometri di strada e più di un milione di note suonate, i My Escort hanno trovato la stabilità, la serenità interiore per poter finalmente entrare in studio ed iniziare a lavorare ad un disco che da troppo tempo sta aspettando di farsi sentire...

Il 21/22/23 dicembre saremo di nuovo in studio per la parte conclusiva delle pre-produzioni.

"Canzoni in ritardo" sta prendendo forma, una bellissima forma.. Dal 2008 ad oggi, le canzoni sono cresciute, hanno cambiato aspetto, proprio come i cambiamenti di un bambino così evidenti nei primi anni di vita.

"Canzoni in ritardo" come molti sanno ha trovato casa presso la BASS DEPARTMENT RECORDINGS di Matteo Franzan, già con me in "Primavera a gennaio" del 2007. Forse il cerchio non poteva che chiudersi lì, in un modo che definirei "naturale" e l'intera band non potrebbe esserne più felice.

Non credo affatto che il mondo finirà il 21 del 12 del 2012... Credo piuttosto che il disco che uscirà da quel turno finale di pre produzioni (che inizierà proprio il 21/12/2012) sarà la fine del mondo...

Io, Luca, Jack e Alberto vi auguriamo un bellissimo Natale, vicino alle persone che amate ed un 2013 intenso, pieno di vita, di energia e di buone vibrazioni. Lo auguriamo proprio a tutti e a questa nostra amata Terra, nella speranza che la tanto chiacchierata fine del mondo sia da intendersi come l'inizio di un periodo nuovo, pulito, di pace e abbondanza di cose positive per tutti.

IT Sdraio, giardino, 1:26, Trespasser William, Sirmione, mezzo nudo, pc... relax/sogno.... Cmq...

il concerto del 28 luglio non sarà figo soltanto perchè il primo concerto dei My Escort sarà figo in quanto tale. Sarà figo per motivi ben precisi... I primi che mi vengono in mente... - Pavel Zelinskiy, un attore speciale, metterà in scena alcuni monologhi ispirati ai temi di "Canzoni in ritardo"; - In alcuni brani ci sarà la presenza di Frank McFly, un violinista che amo, a dir poco, e Cristina Baù, corista anche con Irene Fornaciari; - Verrà proiettata una preview del trailer di "Canzoni in ritardo".

Ci si vede tra un mese al Parco Pretto di Cornedo Vicentino.

The concert of July the 28th will not be cool just because it will be the first concert of My Escort will be cool itself. It will be cool for very specific reasons ... The first that come to my mind ... - Pavel Zelinskiy, a special actor, will stage a few monologues inspired by the themes of "Canzoni in ritardo"; - In some songs there will be the presence of Frank McFly, a violinist that I really love, and Cristina Baù, also Irene Fornaciari's vocalist; - Will be projected a preview of the trailer for "Canzoni in ritardo"

EN - After the rehearsal of the June 14th one thing is clear. We found the perfect axe man. After being soaked in London fogs, Harrison has declined in part from the first notes. The band is so complete and already working on the arrangements of what will be the thirty songs to choose from the 10 that will end up in the list of "Canzoni in ritardo" (CIR). - On June the 13th, I signed the contract with Matteo Franzan, artistic producer of the album, so that everything is now official. The expected date for release is the spring of 2013. - Meanwhile, a photo diary will keep you updated on the main stages of CIR. You can follow on My Escort facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Escort/252071681514434 - For those who had the possibility and desire, on July the 28th, in the beautiful setting of the Park Pretto, Cornedo (Vicenza, Italy), My Escort will perform a show case of about 12 songs, a preview of some of the possible candidates to be part of the album .

IT - Dopo le prove del 14 giugno una cosa è chiara. Abbiamo trovato il chitarrista perfetto. Dopo essere stato imbibito di nebbie londinesi, Harrison si è calato nella parte sin dalle prime note. La band perciò è completa e già al lavoro sugli arrangiamenti di quellà che sarà la trentina di brani dalla quale scegliere i 10 che finiranno nella lista di "Canzoni in ritardo" (CIR). - Il 13 giugno ho firmato il contratto con Matteo Franzan, il produttore alla regia del progetto, così che tutto è ora ufficiale. La data prevista per l'uscita è la primavera del 2013. - Nel frattempo un diario fotografico vi terrà aggiornati sulle tappe principali di CIR. Lo potrete seguire sulla pagina facebook dei My Escort: http://www.facebook.com/pages/My-Escort/252071681514434 - Per chi ne avesse la possibilità e la voglia, il 28 luglio, nella bella cornice del Parco Pretto di Cornedo (Vicenza) i My Escort si esibiranno in uno show case di circa 12 pezzi, una preview di alcuni dei possibili candidati a far parte dell'album.

Riflessioni sulle note di una domenica di maggio

IT Pensavo alla ciclicità delle cose pregne di senso, pervase dalla profondità dei significati, interessate dalla sincerità degli intenti. Cose vere per intenderci. Pensavo a Matteo Franzan, nuovamente sulla stessa barca, e al fil rouge che connette l'essenza prima contenuta nel nome dell'album d'esordio dei My Escort con i riflessi e le sfumature di cui si è arricchito nel corso degli ultimi 4 anni di lentissima lavorazione il disco che si chiamerà "Canzoni in ritardo". "Canzoni in ritardo" è nato nella mia testa come un concept album sulla fragilità delle relazioni, sull'incapacità che spesso ci attanaglia di utilizzare il tempo a nostra disposizione nel modo migliore, senza sprechi e sull'interconnessione di queste due cose. Le canzoni in ritardo di cui parla il titolo sono scritte dopo la fine di alcune importanti relazioni, sia d'amore, sia amicali. Relazioni che con delle attenzioni maggiori, una maggiore capacità di ascolto, una migliore predisposizione alla comprensione dell'altro, forse sarebbero ancora vive e pulsanti. Canzoni quindi non come cura, ma come epitaffi, compagne di crepe ormai insanabili. Oggi mi rendo conto di quanto questo iniziale concetto si sia evoluto e sia uscito dalle canzoni stesse, abbracciando inesorabilmente molti aspetti della mia vita. Questa lunga gestazione infatti ha portato con sé la rottura di molte altre relazioni importanti, quella con un produttore come Luca Pernici, quella con molti vecchi compagni di viaggio come i Dardo Moratto ed il relativo scioglimento e molti altri musicisti che hanno attraversato molte fasi di questo lungo periodo e di questo mio personale "Chinese Democracy". Senza contare che "Canzoni in ritardo" è un progetto che ha iniziato la sua gestazione nell'estate del 2008. Insomma, davvero fedele al nome con cui decisi di battezzare il mio parto mentale. Canzoni che finalmente sembrano tornare a casa, dopo aver assorbito gli umori di questi anni, cariche di storie da raccontare, travagli e cambiamenti. Canzoni che una ad una, stanno rientrando, che una ad una paiono prendere coscienza che è arrivato il momento di essere cantate, condivise, ascoltate. Esiste una data ufficiosa di inizio registrazioni e di pre-produzione, alla fine di luglio. Incrocio le dita. Viz

Thoughts on the musical notes on a Sunday in May

EN I was thinking about the cyclical nature of things, filled in the depths of meaning, concerned by the sincerity of purpose. True things I mean. I thought of Matthew Franzan, again in the same boat, and the common thread that connects the first essence contained in the name of the My Escort's debut with the reflections and the nuances that have been enriched slowly over the last 4 years the hard work that will be called "Canzoni in ritardo (Songs that arrive late)." "Canzoni in ritardo" was born in my head like a concept album about the fragility of relationships, about the inability to use the time available to us in the best way, without waste and about interconnection of these two things. The songs in the delay for which the title speaks are written after the end of some important relationships of love and friendship. Relationships that probably, with more attention, better listening skills, a better understanding skill, probably would still be alive. Songs so not as a cure, but as epitaphs, companions of cracks now incurable. Today I realize that this initial concept has evolved and is released from the songs themselves, surely embracing many aspects of my life. This long gestation it has brought with it the breaking of many other important relationships, one with a producer like Luca Pernici, one with many old traveling companions as the band Dardo Moratto and its dissolution, and many other musicians who have gone through many phases of this long term and my personal "Chinese Democracy". Not to mention that "Canzoni in ritardo" is a project that began its gestation in the summer of 2008. I mean, really faithful to the name by which I decided to give birth in my mind. Songs that seem to finally return home, after absorbing the moods of these years, full of stories to tell, troubles and changes. Songs that one by one, are coming back, that seem to be aware that the time has come to be sung, shared, listened. There is an unofficial start date of live recordings and pre-production, at the end of July. I'm crossing my fingers. Viz

Artistic producer

EN I am very happy and very excited to announce the name of the artistic producer that will take care about the first "My Escort" full lenght. What was supposed to be the second record for Dardo Moratto probably could not and had to have a different director. Already in "Primavera a gennaio" in 2007, then with Lost and recently behind the success of Superwanted ... Welcome back Matteo Franzan! IT Sono molto felice e davvero entusiasta di poter annunciare il nome del produttore artistico che si occuperà del primo album dei My Escort. Quello che doveva essere il secondo disco dei Dardo Moratto molto probabilmente non poteva e non doveva avere un regista differente. Già in "Primavera a gennaio" nel 2007, poi coi Lost e recentemente dietro i successi dei Superwanted... Bentornato Matteo Franzan!
