I've been getting a lot of mail lately asking for news and updates on my various projects, so here's a lil overview of what is on my plate right now;
'The Best of The MC Cryptid Show Season One'
This 90 minute film will contain highlights of the first 16 episode run of 'The MC Cryptid Show', as well as featuring all-new interviews with MC Cryptid, Co-Host Kurt, and ATF. It will also be partially a retrospective on the history of the show so far, from its humble beginnings to the Friday night entertainment juggernaut that it has become. It will also feature music videos from some of our favorite underground artists! Confirmed so far are; Razakel, 2face, Molly Gruesome, and Miss Kisa - as well as the first ever MC Cryptid music video, making its premiere in this movie! The film is expected to drop in March 2012.
'The MC Cryptid Show' season 2
Yes, we shall return!! We have a lot of new flavor in the pipeline for the next season of everyone's favorite internet radio show, and we will be back with a bang in April 2012.
'Friends & Enemies' double EP by MC Cryptid
This will be my next music release. It will be 2 albums released simultaneously; one will contain shout-out tracks to my nearest and dearest, including a track that was originally going to be an exclusive for the RushteaMC gaming community. This one is called 'Friends'. The second one will be tracks unleashing the shit I have to say to certain people. Unlike the songs on the 'Friends' album, the 'Enemies' one won't mention anyone by name, and will be more ruthless in tone and sound. Both of these albums are looking at a tentative release date of May 2012.
'The MC Cryptid Movie'
This is the one I get the most mail about; since we announced the film in November, information has been a little scarce about it all. The script is shaping up nicely - whenever I have spare time, new pages are written and new ideas are formed. Until the script is finished however we can't say when the film will begin shooting, but I will say that we have our eyes set on a June shoot, with a hopeful release date of Halloween 2013.
'Cryptozoology' by MC Cryptid
It is still happening! I have been teasing this album since MC Cryptid started working on his labor-of-love side project on the 1st of January in 2012. I am still looking for artists to contribute to the book that comes with it, and am still trying to get the money together to pay the guest artists who are willing to appear on the album. The reason why it has taken so long to get this thing together is that as a concept album, it requires a lot more effort in keeping the songs within the storyline of the 'Cryptozoology' tale and with all the other pressures of life and the many projects I have on the go right now, it has fallen slightly to the wayside. Have no fear, it has never and will never be abandoned; it has just been gestating and growing into something bigger than I had first thought! It will be finished towards the tail-end of 2013, but I sadly can't confirm anything solid for now.
*Unnamed Mystery Project*
ATF and MC Cryptid are working on something very unique and different, and once the Kickstarter page for it is ready and made public, you can garantee that you will be the first to know about it! Until then, I can say nothing more!
Well, thats about it for all my projects at the moment. I'm going to be a very busy bunny for the year to come. The best part about all of these things though? None of these things are going to cost you a single penny to enjoy! That's right; all this entertainment is coming to you for FREE! And who doesn't like free shit? I hope you'll continue to support the work myself and my friends put out for you; it gives us all no greater joy than to entertain you guys, and the love you show us on the daily never fails to make us proud. We love you guys, thank you for supporting independent art!!
Stay wicked, and have a happy 2013!!!

The MC Cryptid Q&A (part 3 of 3)
Q: In your opinion, what is your best work to date? A: It's got to be my song “Valentine's Day”. I love everything about it; the beat, the vibe, the lyrics, the emotions I convey in the lyrics, everything. My flow has never been tighter, the story within the verses has a start, a middle, and an end, and even though I can't really sing I still adore the chorus. I'm most proud of this song
Q: When are you touring? A: I have no idea. I am ready for it, I am hungry to get back on the stage again, but I honestly have no clue on how to go about getting a spot at shows and whatnot. If anyone reading this right now would like to book me for a show, hit me up
Q: Have you got any merchandise? A: Not yet, no. But watch this space, because there is a lot of cool stuff on the horizon in 2014
Q: Do you have any beef with any other rappers? A: Nope, none whatsoever. I don't feud with people, and if people want to feud with me, I will ignore it. I don't participate in that kind of thing, I left that stuff in the playground back when I was in elementary school. To be honest, if someone were to try and call me out on one of their tracks or something, that would blow my mind. Acknowledgement of any kind is always amazing to me
Q: Would you rather fight a horse-sized duck, or 20 duck-sized horses? A: Huh?
Q: When is The MC Cryptid Show coming back? A: We had to go on hiatus back in March 2013 due to me losing my apartment and not finding a suitable place to live thereafter. I am still between homes at time of writing, but in the next few weeks I should finally be sorted and the show will return to the air soon after. As I now live in another part of the UK, Co-Host Kurt WILL be on the show and is still an integral part of its DNA, but his appearances will be more sporadic. I will have a brand new guest on the show every every episode though, and but I can't tell you about her yet. Yes, its a she. I've already said too much
Q: Whatever happened to The MC Cryptid Movie? A: Its still happening, but it is a project that has been placed on the back burner for now. There is a script, but I just haven't the time to dedicate to it as yet. I hope it will still happen, though I very much doubt it will be before Cryptozoology is released
Q: Are you performing at The Gathering of the Juggalos one day? A: Yes. When? I cannot say. But it will definitely be happening!

The MC Cryptid Q&A (part 2 of 3)
Q: What's happening with the Cryptozoology album? A: Cryptozoology is what I consider to be the greatest thing I have ever created, and because of this I refuse to rush it out. It has been worked on for about 2 years now, and I have finally got all of the beats finished and about a quarter of the songs are written and recorded for it but there are still about 15 songs to finish before I can release it. Life and procrastination have also been roadblocks on the path to its completion, but the end is now finally in sight
Q: What exactly is Cryptozoology anyways? A: Its a 20 track album of music that will tell a complete story when listened to from start to end, but will have plenty of tracks on it that will stand on their own right too. It tells the story of MC Cryptid, a creature that was found in an abandoned government laboratory by a mad scientist. His liberator uses the creature as a weapon against his enemies, but along the way the creature learns the values of life and starts to become aware of his own thoughts. Lets just say that by the end of the album, the creature won't bend to anyone's whim. I guess you could say it is an audio comic book with thinly-veiled autobiographical elements. The album will also come with an artbook; as well as the usual liner notes and whatnot that albums usually come with, this book will have beautiful full-page images. Each image will belong to a particular song on the album, so its a bit of visual stimulus to go along with the soundscapes of Cryptozoology
Q: I love the artwork for The Forgotten Relics and Caballo Sin Nombre (my mixtapes), who does those? A: The images are created by the absolutely amazing artist Z-GrimV, who I have been blessed to call a close friend for many years now. His artwork is spectacular to say the least. He will be providing all of the artwork for the Crpytozoology artbook, so if you are a fan of the cover art for my mixtapes then you are certainly in for a treat when my album drops
Q: Who have you worked with, and who would you like to work with? A: I've worked with several people, and it wasn't until now that I've thought about it and realized how many other artists I've been fortunate to work with;
WORKED WITH – Tag B, Aphid, Bloodstepp, KidCrusher, Psychoetry, 2Face, ATF, Z-GrimV, Michael Milenko, Big Money B, Jenkins Johnson, Z Mack, Philthy Phil, Jemstone, and MC Ru D
HOPE TO WORK WITH – Razakel, Sicktanick, Molly Gruesome, T.O.N.E-z, Miss Kisa, Vanilla Ice, and any of the guys over at Psychopathic Records past or present
Q: What are your mixtapes about? A: My mixtapes are simply compilations of early work, demos, outtakes, abandoned projects, and obscure tracks from my past. They have no over-arching theme to them, though it has happened before now that people have speculated that there was a meaning to each one taking into account their cover art and titles as well as the contents of the songs themselves. I love hearing those theories!

The MC Cryptid Q&A (part 1 of 3)
Q: How's it going? A: Great thanks, and with yourself?
Q: How long have you been rapping? A: Since 2010, but before then I used to try to write lyrics every now and then. I have learned that I can't really write unless I hear the beat the lyrics are intended for; I let the music dictate what I write
Q: What equipment do you use? A: A Samson C01 studio condenser mic, an Alesis IO2 2-Channel Portable 24/48 USB Audio Interface, and an iMac. That's it. It's not a lot but it is (arguably) portable and it suits my needs for now
Q: Do you make all your own beats, and if so, what software do you use to make them? A: I have made my own beats for the last couple of years, all of them created in GarageBand on my iMac. Some of my earlier tracks which appear on my mixtapes have used beats and instrumentals I was either sent by other artists or I found on YouTube and requested permission to use
Q: I love your sounds! How do you come up with your beats? A: Well before rapping I was (and still am) an independent film maker. I think in pictures as a result, so when I am starting a new beat I think of an image and then say to myself “OK, so this is what it looks like... but what does it sound like?” I then build from there until the picture in my mind's eye has a soundtrack
Q: Your voice is monotone/weak-sounding, why don't you try harder? A: I get asked this a lot. My voice is screwed because I had severe asthma as a child and due to a very high usage rate of the steroids in my inhaler as I was developing into an adult, my vocal chords and throat are malformed. These days, my voice is flat and pitch changes and things like inflections barely register. I could train under the World's finest vocal coach and my voice would NEVER be good. Its just one of those things I have to live with and I hope people can look past
Q: What is Silver Tongued Devils? A: STD is an all-new side project of mine, along with Sour Milke Milenko and Big Money B. Its still in the gestation period right now as my workload on MC Cryptid stuff and the new Tag B project is a priority. But I am really excited about it. I put together the first beat for it and sent it to the other artists in the group and they felt it was my best work to date, production-wise. I hope you'll feel the same when it is finished and you get to hear it

#5 on the Rap charts for the entire country
Wow. Today I reached a new personal best in the ReverbNation.com Rap charts for the UK, arriving at the 5th spot. I am truly humbled by this, and it is a landmark event in my life.
Its nuts to think that less than 2 years ago I was just a film maker and story teller who toyed with the idea of making a 4 track EP as another creative avenue to tell a tale. The story of a humanoid creature that escaped from a science lab and dedicated itself to ridding the world of its wrongs while remaining only a mere urban legend in the public eye.
Flash forward to today, and things have turned out very differently from that small comic book influenced pipe dream; I have friends and family that have continued to love and support me on my first tentative steps into the world of music, but I also have fans. There are boys and girls out there who bump my music on the daily, who share my music page to bring more exposure to my art, and who show me love every day with messages that bring a lump to my throat with their encouraging and touching words.
This is all surreal to me. I have gotten here purely by being myself; I don't start nor participate in rivalries. I don't brag about being the best or the hardest or the wickedest. I don't buy fans, likes, followers, subscribers, or plays. Hell, I still have yet to perform a single live show or release a proper debut album! And yet, here I am. People power alone has thrust me into the exalted position of the Top 5 Rappers in the United Kingdom. Its incredible. Its unbelievable.
To anyone reading this, today I am overjoyed because of you. You have shown me nothing but love and support, and I wish I knew how to say "Thank you" to you in a way that could express adequately the gratitude I have for you being there for me and having my back. I love you, every single one of you.
'Cryptozoology' IS coming. Its taken a lot of time to get to you, but thats because it truly is the best possible work I could ever put out. I hope you'll love it as much as I do when it is finished and in your hands.
Thank you.

Some of you may have seen me live before with my former band Aphid in The Netherlands, but as far as solo MC Cryptid shows go, they haven't come to be until now! I will be doing a few local shows in the coming months, as well as appearing at a couple of big events in the near future! I will be playing the 3rd annual UK Gathering of the Juggalos (an event now known as the "Whoop Whoop Weekend"), a 3 day party held at the Pontins holiday park in Stockport on the coast out by Liverpool! Keep your eyes and legs open for announcements on these events and other live shows soon!
- The MC Cryptid Show season two is on the horizon! Sadly at time of writing I cannot confirm a concrete date for when we will be returning to Ustream and YouTube, but needless to say that myself, Co-Host Kurt, ATF, Background Bob, Man Dog, and everyone else involved with the UK's premier Juggalo internet radio show is hella excited to get back into the mix! Thank you so much for your patience and understanding with the delay, we love you all!
Well, thats it for the news right now! I just wanna give a few shout-outs while I'm here to my brother 2Face (Dean Ray) out in Arizona, to Cassi and Nikki Venner in Ohio, my very own Jersey girl Brittany on the East coast, Tia out in Canada, Amy and the puppies in Georgia, Michel and Claire, Mark Kelly, and Jess de Vries in Holland, my brothers in Tag B and Aphid, my homie Psychoetry, Jimmy and the boys of Young Influential, the entire UK Juggalo family, Jason Hall and the Crauford Arms crew, and everyone at Total Action Wrestling - y'all the shit and I got nothing but love for you all! But the biggest bucket of love goes to you guys, my fans - you guys never cease to amaze me and I couldn't thank you enough for the blessings you bring me on the daily!
