CENACLE 2009

Hey everyone, Happy new year! So... 2008 has ended. It was a year in which we broke alot of new ground as well as finding ourselves in a lot of familiar situations. We played some great gigs, and some not so great gigs! From January to July we managed to record and produce our debut EP 'Immortality' which was really cool. In November we said good bye to our good friend Beez who left the band to go to university. Now... To close out the '2008 part' of the blog we'd like to say thank you to the following: God, for teaching us lessons and being the driving force behind what we do. Beez, for his commitment and willingness to step in for 2008 when we needed him. Also, for helping us record the EP. Cheers mate! Everyone who helped us in the recording process! And lastly... Everyone who came to our shows, supported and rocked out with us. We love you all! So what's next for Cenacle in 2009!? We would like to announce that our new bassist is none other than our close friend Ben Ryan. Ben has been practising with us for the past couple of months and is really settling in well. We have all shared a stage with Ben numerous times in the past so asking him to join Cenacle was a very natural decision. We are hoping to bring a new kind of energy to our live shows with him in board. We've also been working on some new songs and have nearly completed one called 'Go Back' which is a definate pit starter! We expect to start gigging again in late Jan/early Feb, so make sure you keep an eye out for us because we're gonna rock more skulls than ever in 2009! Have a great year everyone, Si (Guitars)
