With the release of my album 'Ouroboros', snake energy has been a big focus. Nonetheless, I found it somewhat confronting to have a large python make it's home in my kitchen. As it gracefully weaved its way across the rafters, into the spare room and finally into the kitchen where it found a hole in the wall to take residence, I was overcome by the beauty of this magnificent creature who had chosen my space to share. I set some boundaries: "you hang in the wall or on the rafters and be peaceful with my dog". It's energy could be felt everywhere. I remembered that I had channelled snake energy in all of the lessons of my album, embodying rebirth, transformation and the lessons of cycles and elevation and was astounded that on the eve of my release of an album named after the symbol of a snake eating it's own tail, I had a snake to share some time with. The fear dwindled after a few days when I realised we wall have to share this planet and the snake and I seem harmonious and even friendly. I have grown to love it and when it disappears finding myself awaiting its return. Thank you for the beautiful lessons beautiful creature of this earth, you inspire me. Love xx

There is a constant dance between the elevated goddess who wishes to sit in silent contemplation and raise the vibration through inner silence... and the faerie who wants to skip around, drink coffee and talk her wings off. I have been struggling with this duality all of my life... until I practised a bit of letting go and realised... there is no struggle, these are two equally exciting and amazing parts of myself that unite to make the whole. And such is life... one day I strongly believe in one thing and the next day it might shift completely. Life is one, big duality... it is full of love and aggression, dark and light, clarity and confusion. With the simple acknowledgement of this and the willingness to shift one's perception, and not remain stuck, there is never struggle. If there is a struggle... let go. Love x

The wee hours are where I find myself, a romancing of the soul in the deep hours of night. It is here that I sit as songs tap on my window and it is here that I am closest to my dreams. I feel the quiet of the darkness and hear every sound amplified tenfold. It is here that I find my peace, my inspiration and my contentment with myself. If life could be spent in the wee hours of morning, as the silvery moonlight illuminates my lounge and my heart, I would be so inspired as to create ceaselessly!! I love the wee hours, it my home x

After nestling in the picturesque surrounds of Jindabyne and Perisher for almost a week, yesterday we headed to Braidwood for a rest stop before Canberra. We learned in Perisher that playing actually in the snow is not as hard as it initially seemed.. We had dorm room olympics and even constructed our very own olympic trampoline from mattresses. We drove through a blizzard at 10 kms an hour for over an hour after digging our beers out of the snow outside our hotel window with a shovel. The snow leg has definitely proposed different challenges to our regular gigs, but the shows have been amazing.
Upon leaving Jindabyne, we took a strange back road to Braidwood, full of sheep, llamas, red dogs, cows, rocks and (of course) the crows guiding us in our every movement. Home last night was a fireplace at Jake and Ange's, a few drinks and stories of life and humour all around. There is nothing quite like sitting around sharing stories and hearing the events that shaped people into who they are. I feel so blessed to be able to play music and share this awesome journey with all of the characters we meet along the way. Onward tonight to Canberra, for an intimate gig in Smith's Alternative and then a house concert in Downer tomorrow… The wintery otherworldliness of Canberra and surrounds is mesmerising and reminding me of all the magic everywhere. I was lucky enough to share some time with a decrepit old wombat who shared her magical animal medicine with me and helped heal my sore chest… Onward we go, transforming and evolving daily… it's a beautiful life, if you choose it to bee…. x

Well, I am exhausted and invigorated after a perfect week. I drove to Maleny for a solo show on Saturday and then back to Brisbane for a most amazing show with Captain Dreamboat, Adam Scriven and Innes Campbell. What a magikal night of music of the highest calibre. Since then it's been, guitar lessons in the park, a visit from my nephew, a surf with about 30 dolphins and loving puppy time... and a new song this week. The rain is singing on the tin roof and life couldn't be much better really. thanks universe for all the beauty and wonderful blessings. Love to all x
