11-21-12-My Morning Thoughts: Back in the groove again. Got a gig at CEBARS on E. 185 St Tonight and I’m redy to let it out once again! In some trying times throughout my life I have fallen back on music many, many times! I don’t know why this happens to me but good times and bad times words an melodies pour out every now and again…I probably shouldn’t jinx it by questioning it, so I won’t…if you’re in town, stop on down, check out the sound and share a round…if ya like…plain and simple.

BTW…This is my music page on FB, feel free to check it out and like…if ya like…and if ya don’t like…like it anyway…I’m a nice guy…LOL http://www.facebook.com/larryinsanathemusic?ref=hl

11-20-12-My Morning Thoughts:

11-20-12-My Morning Thoughts: My first born and his fiancé put a bid on their first home. Yahoo! Oh to be the proud father of a son that has worked and saved for something he truly wants…the family life! I’m grinning from ear-to-ear right now In case you couldn’t tell. All the years of raising our children and wondering if we did it right (practically everyday) has shot us a ray-of-light of positive reinforcement. Has it all been peaches and cream? I think not…have the wife and I been down to our very last nerve?...yes there were times…can I sit here and say it was all worth it? Absolutely!!!!! Jack and Alyssa, I’m wishing you all the best…and my parental laymen’s advice to you both will be a one word simple plan to always fall back on…”communicate”…plain and simple.

11-19-12-My Morning Thoughts:

11-19-12-My Morning Thoughts: If this information is accurate (and I hope it is not) on 01-01-14 all employers with 50 people or more will have to pay healthcare for their employees or else pay a “small fine” for the 3 years following. The cost to the employer for the healthcare plan is $1.80 per hour per working employee. That’s $3,744 per employee per year. The fine for the employer will be 79 cents per hour per employee if they fail to insure and follow the plan which is a $1, 643 penalty per year and also for the following 3 years…this is mandated with NO exceptions so I’m told…my question would be: What stops the employer from just dropping the healthcare completely on their employees for those following 3 years to save almost $2,000 per year per employee? Let’s be realistic here, business’s are in business to make a profit right…and the healthcare plan has just given them a (loop-hole) way to save thousands of dollars on each of those employee’s that have a healthcare plan prior to “Obama Care”. So if the number of people that were uninsured was 40 million, how many people will be uninsured for 2014, 15, & 16? In 2016 will the politicians be running on a campaign platform that says something like…”we need a plan to insure the 100 million people that were dropped in the last healthcare plan”…then what happens? This is sort of ridiculous no? To insure the 40 million who were un-insured the 100 million presently insured by their employer could very well lose their insurance just for the almighty profit margin or at minimum to stay afloat depending on the economic situation…this is a definite option businesses may resort to in my opinion…if you owned a business and paid healthcare for your employees and business was down in revenue what would you do? Something doesn’t smell right about this…can anyone in the Congress read or if not let someone who can read, read this stuff to them?...I think I’m going to go get a physical next week while I still can just in case…this is just an honest observation of a realistic possibility …plain and simple.

11-16-12-My Morning Thoughts:

11-16-12-My Morning Thoughts: Do the things kids do today seem any different than what we did back in our day? I know I was not always a great kid but I survived with some good old fashion discipline or what was sometimes called hard love. I believe the biggest obstacle coming in the future of ‘our” children will be their interactive one-on-one social skills. Everyone today has some basic tech experience and 5 or 10 years from now, that’s probably going to move absolutely everyone on the band-wagon! What then? Will we date over the phone?...oh we do that already. Will we shop on the internet?...do that already too. Will we play games with people we’ve never met?...do that too with video games…I guess those 5 or 10 years went faster than I thought!...................................talk to people…people…let them feel your emotion(s) in the same room sometimes…Loosing this may be our biggest downfall, because when we’re all just an ‘idea or text’ of a person will we really be needed any longer??…go out and talk to people while you’re out having that great, safe weekend my friends…plain and simple. 11-15-12-My Morning Thoughts:

11-15-12-My Morning Thoughts: Growing up I had cousins that were like brothers and sisters…it’s was the best of times cause we were truly…one big family. And just like a family sometimes we didn’t get along…but most of the time we did! It was so cool to have so much family around when I was young a dumb. We could talk about anything and always get a response, not the response I always wanted but never the less…a response. We stuck up for each other, we laughed and cried with each other, and most of all we respected each other! Well days gone by are said sometimes because when I reflect on those times so often in my mind I miss those times even more. We all grow up…and life’s paths take us in so many directions we hardly get the chance to get together anymore…sure there are always the weddings and funerals but I want more time than that! From a baby through high school I learned so much from them and remember so much togetherness it’s unreal! Well for me, I’m going to try harder to get it back before I’m too old to do anything about it…If you have family memories like that and anyone want to join the “family come back tour” let’s start with…hello family and how are you?...plain and simple. 11-14-12-My Morning Thoughts:

11-14-12-My Morning Thoughts: There are so many things I write about that I believe, I know, what I’m talking about, of course there’s plenty of things I write about that I have only superficial knowledge on. No-matter what I write about in my sometimes cloudy mornings you can always count on one thing…I have only, the-best-of-wishes for all the good deed doers out there…cause it’s not always easy doing the right thing…it’s just right!…plain and simple. 11-13-12-My Morning Thoughts:

11-13-12-My Morning Thoughts: My parents have always said to me that there is no short-cuts in life and like you’ve all heard by now, if something seems “to good to be true”…it’s probably not that good…so keep your eyes open from where you stand to over the horizon and don’t let those who like to deceive…deceive you…have a great day everyone…and night too…plain and simple.

11-12-12-My Morning Thoughts:

11-12-12-My Morning Thoughts: I think I have finally figured out the secret of life this morning…it’s not a secret at all cause everyone knows the answer…just live it!!!...stop worrying over the things you can’t control…so that’s what I’m going to do!…plain and simple.

11-07-12- My Morning Thoughts:

11-07-12- My Morning Thoughts: Bipartisan; “Consisting of or supported by two political parties”…I kind of hope at the end of these next for years we can look back and say that…our government actually used this word effectively…if we look back this time and we still haven’t come together on the pressing issues…let’s find another word please…and I sooooooooo would enjoy, if the government acknowledged that a fact is a fact no matter what side of the isle your seat is on…stop the games cause it’s getting serious now…plain and simple.

11-05-12- My Morning Thoughts:

11-05-12- My Morning Thoughts: My Grand pap Thompson (the Irish side) was called the great white hunter by his friends, probably not politically correct today but that’s what I was told. He was a winner of numerous shooting competitions throughout his life and a true sportsman in every since of the word. He was a father, husband, Navy veteran, minor league baseball player, hard worker and all around good guy. One of the things he told me long ago that has stuck with me through the years is that I need to enjoy life as it comes! Don’t wait for it to happen, just get out there and live it! I remember asking him when he was about 75 years old if his youth went by fast. He said to me that life was amazingly fast but he really doesn’t dwell on it and never even realizes he’s old until he looks in a mirror…so I’ve tried to avoid mirrors these past few years…plain and simple.
