The Claytones / Blog

The story of the bandsaw and the balls.

Well folks, at the twilight of the tracking process we take a moment to reflect on some of the highlights thus far. We all had a blast doing the bed sessions and are nearly done tracking our vocals and twiddly bits and will presently be moving into the dark downward spiral of self doubt we call post production. Our immediate concerns are for our send-off show tomorrow night at the Almonte Civitan Hall and the ongoing preparations for our departure to the US in a couple of short weeks. The latest news on that front is our sweet apartment in east Nashville (not exactly margs and swimming pools but we're going to make a home out of it just the same) Although we're excited to be on the cusp of reaching many of our goals, we don't let ourselves get too far ahead just yet. There's so much work to do its silly, anyone who's made a record can likely relate. Through the process we'd like to make note of our MVPs as well. Randall and Tracey as always, thanks so much for everything. The Anderson Clan, you guys are an inspiration to us and one hell of a great time. All the musicians who have helped us in studio. Kaylen for a steady hand throughout, Cathi for your unwavering good advice, support and guidance. And of course, Leigh Uttley, the shaolin master of the engineering and production arts. We will continue to keep our heads down and get this thing where we want it before the next blog. Stay tuned!!, and for gods sakes like us on facebook and twitter. You can't imagine how much little stuff like that helps. Cheers, The Claytones

Hey everyone!!

We're all sitting in the studio right now writing and rehearsing for the new record. Just wanted to send a shout out to all the people who've been coming out to the initial run of Claytones shows. We've been selling out almost every gig we've played and got a chance to meet with a lot of new fans. We couldn't do it without you guys, thanks for the support!!
