Off the Beaten Path

Hey all, We're in the process of putting together a little live studio project, which I've taken to calling "Off the Beaten Path". So far, we have 4 tracks cut: 1. Little Scarecrow, 2. Runaway Street, 3. Wrecking Ball, and 4. Searching for the Wind. These are all songs I have written fairly recently (Wrecking Ball just a few weeks before we found ourselves in the studio), and I hope you give a listen and dig what you hear, as I've recently discovered that folk/country may be my calling. These songs took form throughout the course of two mornings, fueled by coffee and spontaneity. I would like to give a shout out to Mike Stidolph for not only playing on these tracks (dobro, nylon string guitar, and fiddle/chincello), but also for producing and mixing them in his magical little studio- and also to McPherson guitars for their wonderful equipment, even though they have no idea I exist. Their handmade guitars play like butter and the knife, and I felt very privileged to have had a lapdance with that beauty, even for just a short time in the studio.. There's a dirt road by a small town, Ontario, calling my name, just asking to be the cover art. I always knew Opportunity would be a dirt road.
