I totally forgot!

...what an amazing CD "Basia on Broadway" is! I've been playing it in the car to gear up for this weekend's Brazilian Music Workshop (I know it's not *really* Brazilian music) and it blew me away. I did a lot of drumming on the steering wheel, but had to substitute my left foot for the bass drum since the right foot kind of needs to stay on the gas pedal. Now I'm moving on to some traditional, modern and electronic Brazilian music selections for the rest of the week but I just wanted to share Basia with you in case you haven't checked her out yet. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Brazilian Beats

Just letting all you South Floridians know that a series of special Brazilian Music Workshops by Antonio Adolfo will begin on August 11th at Hollywood Productions & Partners, 2040 Sherman Street, Hollywood, FL. Group and individual classes will be held on a weekly basis in Piano, Vocals, Bass, Percussion, Guitar, Harmony, Ensemble and the History of Brazilian Music. This should be a nice chance for me to get some new music ideas and inspirations from our friends in the Southern Hemisphere. Maybe I'll see some of you other "groove-ologists" there. For more details see http://www.antonioadolfo.net/live/.
