To Fans, Family and Friends,
My name is Ralph Allen (Thompson) , Many of you Know me from either my work with Crossroads Community Church, Cedar Creek, Yes FM, McCord Rd Christian Church Trilby United Methodist Church , Cherry Street Missions.....the list goes on.... on 1-3-14 one of the most Blessed events happened in my life, I married the love of my life Mandy Lehman,
On 1-8-14 one of the worst events in my life happened, I had a car crash that resulted in the shattering of one vertebra in my neck and fractured of another, it was simply an act of God that I was not paralyzed because some of the fragments of bone lay very close to an artery and the spinal nervous system.
Things were looking up and on 1-12-14 I was discharged to UTMC for rehab, at which time they found out that I was passing blood in my stool, upon further investigation it was found that I had a tumor in my lower colon which was cancerous, so now I have Colon cancer.
I have not received a paycheck from my place of Employment cherry street missions in a couple of weeks, we are in desperate need of financial assistance to pay our rent and regular bills so if you could find it in your heart to help….

The Song “Crows Cry” is a “Sound Picture” it is my first attempt at creating a musical / sound image or a glimpse into a moment in time.
The particular piece deals with the concept of abuse and control, not from the stereotypical male, but for a woman, in this case a Mother.
Society has not enjoyed looking at women who abuse, in fact, more often than not abuse received from the hands of a woman is far harder for society to believe because female are thought to be naturally nurturing. More and more we see in the headlines this is not the case.
“Crows Cry” is a dark and disturbing look at abuse in three movements, sexual, verbal and physical.
I hope through the creation of this song it will bring awareness to this devastating social situation and bring help to many child as well as adult survivors.
Please if you are in this situation get away, get help, there are people who will believe you.

A song that has evolved over the years, I think it perfectly reflects the feeling of loneliness so many face this time of year. Oddly enough, this year with my new band, I don’t quite feel so lonely.
