Well September sure was a CRAZY month! Or we can start the last weekend in August:
August 28th, My band played a showcase at the Providence, RI Convention Center as part of the International Worship Leader's Conference: Rejoice! Wow! What a night! Some of the videos from that show are up on my Facebook page. But we had a full band, 6 back up singers- AWESOME! Had a great time, too. We even played "Deep Impact" about the battle between the angels and demons at Preteen Camp 1998- that ROCKED. And we did our favorite jazzy numbers like the "Coffee Song" and "Get in the Water".
I also got to sit in with some wonderful musicians from Germany the next day- AND my old A cappella group: Faith in Action did a cameo set to promote our last CD.- Fantastic weekend!
The next week it was off to Chicago where Ralph and I played a church performance in Saint Charles, IL to a warm response. We played "Martha. Martha"- several women noted they could really relate to the lyrics.
Sept 12 it was down to Hartford, CT with Johnny V to play the "Night of HOPE" benefit for Hope Worldwide. This was on of the most wonderful shows EVER! The audience was so "With us"! They clapped spontaneously after solos, they sang along, they cried at the right times and laughed at the right times- even gave us standing O's after numerous songs! Wow! My favorite comment that weekend was from Barb Oberle who said that my music was "Nourishing to her soul"- Print that. On top of it all we were moved deeply by the presentations about the AIDS work in Africa through HOPE Worldwide. Joshua Smith, the marvelous painter who invited us there to play- we'll be back ANY time you call!
Sept 18th I was flying solo to showcase in Atlanta at the Arts and Entertainment Conference being held there. I was bit out of place amongst all the Hip Hop- but it was an exciting ride! Thank you to all who encouraged me when I received the tragic news of my Uncle Dave's death that weekend. God rest his soul.
Finally, I was off to New Jersey to play for Uncle Dave's funeral on September 24th then back to the Hartford area to play with Johnny V at Jitters Cafe in Southington on the 26th.
Wow! At last I am in my own bed again! Can you relate? And oh the laundry etc to do!
Keep in touch to find out where my next adventures will take me!

Happy New Year!
Happy New Year fans and Friends!
As I spend a snow day watching Harry Potter movies and hanging out with family (and doing lots of shoveling!) I remembered I'm overdue to send you a personal letter.
Another year zooms forward... another year closed up in the pages of a diary. Things we are so happy to put behind us, like having the keys locked in my car during a gig and trying not to think about it being towed while I sing cheerfully for an audience that isn't even listening or any one of a hundred problems and frustrations on the road to completing the construction of the addition to our house and new studio! Dealing with head lice and exterminators and trips to the ER... Good riddance!
There were tears and fears and pains in the neck (literally when I got diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in my neck!) and losing our beloved kitty Mit Mit of 15 years...
And then there were WONDERFUL times in 2017! Some of my favorite memories include... Read more: http://wp.me/p8bg3Z-xL
