The tribute album is set to be released next Tuesday, 11/25. Pre-orders are already being taken and are going quickly. See www.popuprecords.com or www.myspace.com/failuretribute for more information or to reserve your copy today. All the proceeds will be going to the Save the Music Foundation, and we were fortunate enough to have an opportunity to cover "Smoking Umbrellas" for the album. Its an honor to pay tribute to a great band that was far, far ahead of their time and one of our biggest influences. Its also a privelage to be on an album with so many awesome bands.

Our first full length has been started, and is yet to be titled. The drums have been tracked and it will consist of 9 or 10 tracks and will contain no filler. A tentative release has been set for late March/early April, depending on how quickly the rest of the album is recorded and the length it will take to mix and master and press the cds. We will be getting some merchandise, such as t-shirts, buttons, stickers, etc, as well to coincide with the release; its been a long time coming.
There has also been talk of cutting a B-Sides for all the songs we did not deem appropriate for this album, which might be recorded later on this year; however, that has not yet been solidified.
Stay tuned for more updates and information concerning the album and tour dates.

Its official!! We received word yesterday that Ken has given permission for the Failure tribute album to be produced and released. We are super excited to be involved with this project, which is comprised of some AMAZING bands such as ORION, Solare, Beta-Lyrae, Cave In, Tablets of Orion, B.L. Barakus, Planet ID and The Revolution Smile to name a few, paying homage to a band that never really received due credit. We are really honored to be involved with this project and grateful for the opportunity. The music for "Smoking Umbrellas", which we are covering, was recorded last Saturday and we are tracking vocals tomorrow. Stay tuned for more updates concerning the album, which is tenatively set to be released in March 2008, and other exeter. news. You can hear a sampler of album at www.myspace.com/failuretribute. Until futher notice...

I'm sure a lot of you have already read some of the bulletins; however, this one deserves a blog as well. We have landed our first show at Stubb's BBQ playing with/thanks to Murder, My Sweet. This is quite possibly our last 2007 Austin show, as we are taking a hiatus to record a full length album in December. We will not be booking another Austin show for the remainder of the year. The new album will be released early in 2008. With that mentioned, we would really like to see everyone out at this show before we reced into the practice space to finish pre-production. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. You can get your tickets through FrontGate Tickets, http://stubbs.frontgatetickets.com/choose.php?a=1&lid=15575&eid=19806. The show starts at 9:30 PM with Murder, My Sweet performing an acoustic set followed by an electric set, and then we will go on between 11:00 PM and 12:00 AM. Let us know if you can make it and we'll plan on seeing you there. Thanks for all the continued support.
