/24-7pressrelease/ - February 20, 2008 -yshwa4lifes debut EP In the Beginning is nearing it's release date. With that in mind his signature song "Like a King" is movin up the charts and he's pretty excited about it!
"It's not a big deal probably to most but i put a couple of songs on American Idol Undergound 'cause i got a couple of free spins with the submission package i bought during my campaign through Musicsubmit.com and It seems people are diggin' it."
"Like a King" is at number 4 out of the top 50 in American Idols Rap genre and it's also climbing the charts over at Indieheaven.com. Gaining momentum seems to be a pretty easy exercise for this "newbie" Christian rapper. He's been on the lookout for others who may want to be part of his vision but as yet it has been to no avail. "I don't mind going it alone, it's just better to climb a mountain together".
I've got a feeling we'll be seeing more of this guy.

...what's your take?
i'm a firm believer in evangelism. i think that it's at the very center of Gods heart. Naturally discipleship is the next step; but folks need to hear the message of the gospel first in a way that they can identify with right?
For instance...if a town full of bakers had never heard of Jesus Christ...how would you help them understand who He was? By explaining the intricate details of heart surgery? Of course not. You'd probably try and use something that they were familiar with so that they could "identify" with what your saying. More than likely you'd talk of preparation in relationship to time, or how important it is not to use to much yeast and what it would do if they did, maybe having a cake baking contest and stressing the importance of following your directions exactly as prescribed. Then ending your presentation with a perfectly baked cake (without blemish), possibly compared to one that was made without following the "special recipe" (in relation to the Christ and the sinfulness of man).
Of course this is an over-simplified illustration but you get the point right? People need to be able to call Him "their" Saviour... a Messiah that is willing to meet them where they are in a profoundly personal way with the truth of God and who He is.
...that's my two cents.

I've got a CD due to be released in early September. It's mostly done but I'm looking to collaborate with others of like passion who understand the times that we're living in and have a burning desire to make a difference!
NEEDED:
Christian rappers (with talent) who have a crystal clear understanding of the finished wr of Christ.
Christian female vocalists (preferably married...not necessary but helpful).
Beatmasters (to add a little flavor to the already heartpounding tracks).
Check out tha site first..then hit me back!
