I'd like to know of any house concerts, venues, open mics, concert situations that would be open to the style of music I write. Everywhere I go people are appreciative of what I can do as a solo artist, but I would like to bring my band along and inorder to do that I need to make money.
Seems the L.A. mentality is all about working the bottom line. The Artist brings the crowd and the crowd buys drinks, the artist get a piece of the doors. It's a popularity contest. So I'm out 5 nights a week looking for venues that might appreciate real music instead of trash, which is mostly what is heard here in L.A.
Promoters are thiefs and the artist seem to let this continual drama persist.
The only things I see to do at this point is to forge forward and do what I do as a singer/songwriter. I hope you all enjoy my efforts. With out you they would be for nothing. Thank you for your continued support.
