Doppler Shift will be in need of a new drummer soon. Current trappist, Dave Z Marsalek, has decided to leave the quartet after 3 years in the band, to pursue other musical outlets. Last show with DM will be at The Elbo Room sat April 24th. Definitely plan on making this MASSIVE event!
Doppler Shift, in it's search for a new member to take over the drum throne, will be running auditions on sundays at our practice space in Palatine, IL.

Chicago's Doppler Shift is looking to release its highly anticipated followup to 2005's "Physics" with rather large and lively "RESISTOR", due out in late May 08.
The album features new drummer Dave Z Marsalek & Brian Niebuhr's recording debut incorporating electric trumpet work. Saxophonist Ray Pandocchi and bassist Jon Markese round out the lineup for the album. Of note, Jon has fully internalized multiple effects processors and you will be pleased to hear many wild and interesting bass sounds on this album.
A CD release party is in the works for early/mid June in Chicago. deets TBA
