We were invited to open for the Los Angeles based industrial metal icons FEAR FACTORY as they made their only stop in Florida en route to South America for the rest of their 2012 tour of The Industrialist. Jacksonville and the surrounding areas represented well and a crowd of 400+ turned out on a Wednesday night for some metal.
The night started off with a blisturing set from Hair of the Beast (Daytona/New Smyrna). We followed them up with a collection of our heaviest material to set the crowd up to enjoy well over an hour and a half of music from the mighty Fear Factory.
Burton, Dino and the rest of Fear Factory put on one hell of a show and were all a pleasure to meet. Tim Hall and the staff at Freebird Live made sure the show was top notch for sound, safety and production while the bartenders kept everyone's drinks flowing. We enjoyed meeting a new group of fans while everyone in the house enjoyed some great music. There was also some serious action in the swirling pit.
A special thanks to all NEW DAY fans who came out to support us as we were honored to open for such a huge worldwide act like Fear Factory. We hope to see you all at our next event on Saturday, October 13th right back at Freebird Live in Jacksonville Beach.

Completed in May of 2012, UNEARTHED, the 4th release from NEW DAY was recorded, mixed and mastered at Martell Studios in Kingsland Georgia USA by Stan Martell. This 5 song effort delivers over 30 minutes of progressive metal that is sure to peak your interest.
A weekend CD Release Party at Jack Rabbits in their hometown of Jacksonville Florida USA on June 22nd and 23rd kicked off a string of select events to showcase the material from the new CD. Supported by several other talented acts from the area including Murderfly, Mindslip, Bleeding in Stereo and Dystil, their most loyal fans were treated to a pair of solid shows and picked up the first available copies of the new CD.
Watch for UNEARTHED to reach the digital marketplace over the next few weeks and be sure to download a copy from iTunes, Amazon, CDBaby or several of the other major digital music distibutors.
As always, NEW DAY thanks each and every one of you for your support.
