Sooooo....hehehe, obviously we ain't much of the bloggin' type. But I guess we would have more to write about if we could find the time! We've been traveling, playing shows, doing interviews, parties, after parties...after, after parties...you know how it is! ;p
And to think I was actually sad and weary to be leaving Florida! I was like, those people are so nice, it can only go down from here...but I found out the REAL South begins once you exit that State... Mississippi gave us Biloxi and the craziest group of people we have met to date. We played a show at Mugshots, which commemorated the years of great music that was played there with a very last show. It was kinda sad and amazing at the same time. But the cats that took us in after the show were loud, sweet and just downright out of their god damn minds! We loved every minute of a three day party all rolled into one rented condo! And it was really interesing to be living in the clouds for that whole time (the fog was so thick we couldn't see 10 feet in front of us). Alabama gave us Aurora in Fairhope. Beautiful place if you are ever there. I got to eat THE best seafood pizza I had ever had. The sound, I mean the natural acoustic of that room was absolutely incredible. Beautiful crowd, the staff was super sweet too...wish we could've spent more time in that little town...I even got to meet a cajun cousin!! Louisiana, well now just saying the name brings tears to my eyes...there is nothing that can describe New Orleans, you just have to be there and experience it. I will just say this, this city never sleeps! It is a blend of exhilirating craziness, colour explosions, darkness and Voodoo imagery that makes you feel like you're trippin' even when you are sober. There is something strange about celebrating life while being surrounded by death...and I do love a good dose of strange... Checkpoint Charlies is a really cool bar we played down there. We had people come on stage and jam with us, we were given shots and walked the streets until the sun came up... In Baton Rouge we discovered drive-thru Daiquiri Bars...after playing the New Orleans Original Daiquiri. We met a real Southern Belle and her amazing fiance, they put us up into their furniture-free new apartment like we were already part of their family. Experiencing the warmth and hospitality of the Southern people has been quite overwhelming...I never met such generous folks...Now there has been too many other cool places and folks to mention all of it here but I can tell you, it is really cool down here!
Alright, better get back to it now! I wish you guys peace, love and hapiness... Take care of each other my friends, life is too long when you spend it alone xo Joey

So we've been here touring Florida for 2 weeks now. What a magical place to be. It's very chill down here, well mood wize, weather wize - it's actually quite warm, but not according to the locals, who actually think it's freezing! We were in St-Augustine the first day and it was about 21 degrees (celcius) and Craig asked a local dude if that was considered beach weather down there, he said: "Hell no! The only people you see at the beach on a day like today are Canadians!" So we went! And it was great! Even dunked in the water, which was quite nipply but refreshing...
Our first show was at Cruisers Grill, a sweet home- made everything little restaurant down in Hippie Town (St. George St. area) St-Augustine. The food was amazing and so were the staff and patrons who packed the house, waiting around the block to get seated. We had some dancers, singers, video-tapers, it was pretty rad... Every show we played so far has been a packed house, except Jack Rabbits, which was a bit of a bust. Too bad really 'coz the place sounds amazing...and has a great dive bar feel to it. The band we played with ~ Pilotwave, was actually frikin' awesome, so it wasn't a complete waste.
We've been on a small "break" for a few days, working on promotions and what not. Meeting more cool people and rehearsing at parks. I wish we could stay in Florida for the whole tour now man...I love it here so much! But then again, I haven't been much else of the States, so I'm sure we'll find other pieces of Paradise like this one...
Anyways, I better get back to it! Take care of each other guys xo

We are dealing with a lot of emotions at the moment, happy, sad, tired, holy fuck are we tired, excited, glad, nostalgic, in love with a bed... It was a long hard/easy kinda Summer. I've never had as much fun and heartache at the same time. I guess it all has to equal itself out. I have felt home in every new town that we passed through and that to me is a reinforcement that home is the road for me from now on. Sure it was hell trying to sleep in a jam packed Honda Civic and getting numb ass from all the driving but I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. Canada is a gorgeous country and so are the souls of the people who are spread throughout the land. We wrote some new songs, met some new friends and a shit load of talented musicians. Anyways, we've been super busy booking and playing and traveling so sorry this is the first/last update on the tour ;p We're now doing it all over again in the States this Winter so check out the schedule as there should be some dates added in the next month or so!
Peace out brothers and sisters!
And take care of each other eh... :)
Love, Jo
