"Home is where the heart is". We all have heard that quote but it resonates with me because my journey back to home was not reconnecting with Africa but it was a re-focus with God. It took going to Kenya to get me here.....
I guess you know by now that I'm definately working on the next creative project. I am so full of inspiration and it's pouring out of my soul. Being here has made me appreciate the simple things so much more. After being in schools where the girls basically used a hole in the ground for a toilet...and many had no closets full of clothing like we do in America. Family is an important part of life on the Island of Lamu in Kenya. Although I visited Nairobi, my life changing transforamation occurred in Lamu. (We were all family there. There was no stranger on the street. ..People slept with doors and windows open. We celebrated God and each other). What an experience.....
