Mr. KT Beats of Atlanta, GA has teamed up with me for the cut, Playing A Game going on the A Look Into My Heart Project! I'm so, so excited to be working with this gift young beat maker and rapper out of the ATL. Playing A Game was supposed be be out much sooner as an early release but as things would have it, different snafoos and just your normal dead line mishaps kept creeping up. Couple that with the fact that we, KT, Wes and myself wanted this song to be just right right for the Hip-Hop listeners. Well it's finally coming down the pipe. Quality music is first and foremost on this project and Playing A Game is it! Not only is the music kicking but the lyrics tell a story of how things are when playing games in love. KT is also rapping on this cut! Yes, you get to taste his skills on the mic. This songs promises to get your motor going! If your one of those Playing Games, check this cut. See what it get ya! Hello Everyone! My fans, new fans, friends and well wishers. I'm always happy to be writing to you. Well guess what? I got the time to write another blog post! I'm happy to report all the raw tracks for both projects are Done! With the exception of one. He knows who he is. I don't want to spill the beans! lol Now it's time for my producer(s) to work their magic and mold things into something that will do what it's supposed to do. I know I said I was NOT going to release anything else from the project until it was done BUT I had to let a little more out to just wet your taste buds and drive the point home that this is my best efforts yet! I put a snipit of a song that's going on my new project, A Look Into My Heart at Reverbnation and it has been posted and shared through FB, LinkedIn and other places ALREADY in a 24 hour period already! It is HOT! On this cut I have my new band member and friend who 2 yrs ago was playing with the Master of Funk himself, Mr. George Clinton of the historic, Funkadelics! Illness caused him to step away for 2 years and now he's back with a fire! His name is Greg Rolling or as he's known in the Parliament Band, "Funky Finger". He's singing backgrounds on my new project song, Like My Girl. We finished what you hear at 5 am this morning! Then we listened to it over and over until about 6 am. LOL It's the first snipit here on my page at Reverbnation. Give it a listen and leave a comment about what ya think about it. It's a song about young teen age love and things we have done to sneak and be together also how we felt while doing them. Ok, I'm done. I'll let you go and be the judge and think back on your teenage love. Talk soon! M. E.
Well it's been a while since I've written anything on my blog or anywhere else as far as that goes! lol I've been locked in the studio working towards the completion of both my new projects, A Look Into My Heart, due out in May 2014 and That's Alright (the remix). My project A Look Into My Heart, is running a little behind. There's not much one can do when an artist gets writers block as was the case with one ofy guest artist. Wes McCraw my producer, and I are working hard to meet our set production goals so we did a work around and kept plugging away! 90% of the songs for this project are in the hopper and a May release should be reached. The second early single release, Playing A Game will drop any day now and promises to be worth the wait. It's featuring up and coming Atlanta, GA rapper and beat maker, KT Beats doing his thing along with me, Michael Egleton holding down my end in song and on the keys. There are other hot songs to like on the new project too Dunk A Dunk, featuring one of the hottest sax players around in Bill "Soulman" Clark from HOT Atlanta group, N-Da-Groove. Then there's the soulful instrumental, You and I, and a blast from the past, Baby Baby Baby (the remix). For Jazz lovers there's the tune Back In My Heart and a few more on this project that will light your fire and make you "feel". The second new project, That's Alright (the remix) is also 95% in the green! I've been working hard yall! This project has received a major rebuild! I wanted something fresh and new not something warmed over! I wanted That's Alright to reach it's fullest potential. How I heard it in my mind the first time. All the tracks were replayed and redone. There are extras on this remix with a little help from my friends. The song on this project may have the same titles but the music is far different. With a much cleaner sound and fresh instrumentation, this time around is HOTTER! One of the songs, It's Over (the remix) will be one of the feature songs in my new long play EPK done by the award winning Blue-Artists Group in Washington, DC. I've already witnessed the reaction of some to this new soulful and emotional redo of this song. That's Alright (the remix) will deliver. It has what you need and what your searching for. Well that's it! That's what's been going on in my world! Don't forget to stop by WWW.MICHAELEGLETON.COM and get your copy of my new early release, Why Does It Hurt So Bad and while there take the opportunity to listen to Baby Baby Baby (the remix). Both songs are from the new A Look Into My Heart project coming in May 2014. Don't forget Autism Awareness! Til next time... Michael Egleton

Hello to you who may be reading this post! Thanks for stopping by. I'm so excited and Blessed to do another life expression in music with my new project due out summer of 2014. I haven't really said a whole lot about it so I thought I would tonight. I'm working with some great artists , engineers, musicians and Beat specialists for this one! That's Alright, was an introduction for me. This project will be more defining for me as an artist. One of the songs on this project is named " Playing A Game ". On this joint I'll be collaborating with a fairly new, young, fresh sounding beat maker named KT Beats of Atlanta, GA. He'll also be appearing on track doing what he do! The lyrics of this offering tell the story of a sensual, temptress who uses not only her looks but also her convincing words to manipulate unsuspecting male victims into doing what ever she wants for sport. She's done it so much until it has just become a game to her. Not a game of if she can, She knows she can, but a game of what will be done... How far will she take it..... This unsuspecting male victim warns her that she'll be served the same cold dish one day .... and he does! Some of the lyrics compare her love to a drug, the pull being strong, trusting one's words ...believing what was said, left holding a bag ect .... the game is described as a game of give and take. Once she loses, it shakes her like an earth quake! Starting to get the picture? Has this ever happened to you or someone you may know? Unfortunately this situation has been true for many. As for me, I don't write music about things I may not know about or have experienced. I try not to sing a lie. The truth rings like a bell ya know..... It can be a devastating life event. To be played with like a toy .... This joint has a nice up tempo, bold beat and I'm looking forward to finishing it with KT! This project is definitely pulling me out of my comfort zone with the different types of music and lyrics being done. There will be more guest also appearing on this work. As for me, I look forward to the knowledge I will gain from working with the different music veterans of the industry. By the way, this posting thing is kind a Qed out for me! I hope I'm doing it right! LOL LOL
Hello to my fans, new fans, friends, and well wishers, it's my pleasure to be writing to you. Well we are pushing forward on the new project and things are going well. Laying track after track and working into the night! This project promises to be an even more mature offering. The select few who have heard the rough mix of my new song "Why Does It Hurt So Bad ", are really feeling this song. They're saying things like " It's A Hit" and "OMG I'm feeling this song so...." some are just sitting with smile rocking to the beat .... It's a song dealing with an earlier part of my life that applies to many lives if you've lived long enough. We're also getting ready for Sweet Auburn with rehearsals also. So as you see music is the order of business with Michael Egleton. Well time to get my little notebook and start writing so I'll talk to you all next time!
Hello to my fans, new fans, friends, and well wishers, It's time for me to write something! lol Well work on the new project has officially started. My new song, "Why Did It Hurt So Bad", is nearly completed. This song has people of different age group and also some industry individuals, who have heard the rough copy already calling this song a Hit! That feels great to hear your moving in the right direction from the people who listen to and buy the music and also those in the industry who are movers and shakers in todays music. Expected release of this projected will be May of 2014. I want to say a big thanks to Derrick " Doc" Johnson for his work on the Acoustic Bass, Mike Ohara, for his work on the acoustic guitar, BJ Rice-Hubbard and Monica Bowman, Ms. Rhonda Johnson, of Atlanta, GA, for their contribution on the background vocals. The "That's Alright" project was an introduction to Michael Egleton. This second project will be a look right into the life of Michael Egleton. My thoughts and feelings about love, life and relationships. It's going to be done as to connect heart to heart with the listeners. Not just any listener, but listeners of many age groups, colors, backgrounds, races, and genders. This just the beginning. Watching this project take shape and began to form will be great. There are yet many things going on with the That's Alright project. One being the music video to the title song, That's Alright. The music video to this song will be releasing in days! Keep an eye out. This is a Tate Music Group production. The director of this video was Mr. Shawn Barfield. of Mustang, Oklahoma and Tate Music Group. Thanks to him and his staff for everything they have done to make this successful experience. Yes, the sleepless nights and missed meals have begun with the new project. I'll have a lot of help on this one. Many different flavors will be added to the pot to come up with a stew that will be tasty! I also wanted to send a big thank you to my new representation, Blue-Artists for all the work they are doing to take me and my music to the next level of my career. These people are working tirelessly to help pound me into what I need to be to make it in today's music. They are an award winning outfit that have developed the careers of some of the biggest stars you see today! They have nominations for movie awards from such places as B.E.T. and many more. The actual awards are countless. I'm thankful they saw something in me that could be an addition to their illustrious list of finds. The ride continues. Well it's time to get back to work. Keep watching here and my other sites for updated news. Things have shifted into hyper gear!
To all my fans, friends, family, I'm saddened to announce that the scheduled Ohio Players open for September 14th has been canceled due to negative business practices of the venue owner.
