Hello beautiful Honors lovelies,
It’s that wonderful time of year again: Colorful cocktails, short skirts, tan skin and sunny skies abound. Yummy.
Just in time for the summer season, us Guinness loving rock n roll zealots here at Honors World Headquarters have *finally* finished our new album, which we’ve named ‘xoxo’. Hooray!! Yes, I know. It’s a momentous occasion, indeed.
So… How do I get my copy?
Our new album will be available on iTunes by the end of July. We’re selling CDs for $10 at our live performances. We also have brandy new T-Shirts, also available at live performances (and soon online) for $20.
The official CD release party will be on September 3rd at Great Scott in Allston MA.
*Special Offer*
If you’d like a copy of ‘xoxo’ and a new T-Shirt, you can get both for $25. Whadda deal, eh!!
Here’s the album press release courtesy of the beautiful folks at Wolf Den Media:
Boston-based quartet The Honors are announcing the release of their debut full-length album, ‘xoxo,’ through Wolf Den Media. Written and recorded in just two weeks time, ‘xoxo’ is a no frills, honest to goodness high-energy indie rock explosion. Each of the album’s 8 songs exudes a unique moment-to-moment character and spontaneity. Their music swirls with cascading reverb and atomic distortion, a sound best described as Cave Wave.
Since their formation in 2008, The Honors have toured extensively throughout the Northeast and beyond, selling out popular venues in Boston, Pittsburgh, and New York City. ‘xoxo’ is the cacophonous result of when Brandon Heisler (lead vocals, guitar), Andrew Bayardi (lead guitar, backing vocals), Roland Nicol (basses, album art), and Jason Trikakis (drums, backing vocals) enter a room with their instruments, some fresh ideas, and a whole lot of Guinness. Yummy.
‘xoxo’ was recorded by Sevan Minassian at New Alliance Studios in Cambridge MA, and was produced by Sevan and The Honors.

New SONGS Posted
Hello earthlingoids!!
2010 is here and expanding like the Universe. And indeed we’ve been busy expanding our own little Universe by writing and recording heaps of NEW songs. Yes!! And boy holy crap are we excited.
After a brief stint of writers block, the skies have opened and down have poured a maelstrom of new ideas. Thank you Cut Copy, the Smiths, the Strokes, Phoenix, KOL, the Cure, the Cribs, Raphael Saadiq, and many more for your inspiration.
And so here it is. TWO NEW SONGS for your listening pleasure, “Driven by Strangers” and “l.a.” Listen to them, drink them, eat them, dance to them, sex to them, do whatever, have fun and love it.
They are available to listen to, STREAM ONLY, on our Myspace, Facebook, and YouTube pages (more sites to come). Yes, we know. You’re probably saying, “But I want these songs on MY iPod, holy crap!!” Well… think of them as previews to an ALBUM we’re *hoping* to RELEASE in MAY of 2010. A whole ALBUM of brand NEW material, holy crap YES!! Sorry folks, you’re just gonna have to wait a few months. Consider this foreplay, if you will. Mmmm//-)..
But don’t fret, darlingoids!! We’ll be posting at *least* TWO MORE new SONGS holy crap to preview before the album is released for sale at our live performances and on iTunes. Hooray!!
Stay tuned, purplepeople. Peas.
