Daniel Johnny Johnson, Jr. / Blog

THE LOVE OF MUSIC.

EVERY TIME I LISTEN TO A NEW ARTIST, I GIVE THEM MY COMPLETE ATTENTION. YOU SEE THIS IS NO LESS THEN I WOULD EXPECT IF SOMEONE WAS LISTENING TO MY MUSIC FOR THE FIRST TIME. WHEN I LISTEN, I LISTEN FOR THE COMPASSION AS WELL AS THE PASSION IN THE MUSIC. THE THIN LINE BETWEEN GOOD ARTIST AND GREAT ARTIST IS OFTEN DIVIDED BY THESE TWO THINGS. GREAT ARTIST WORK WITH A PASSION SO THAT OTHERS MAY SEE THE COMPASSION IN IT.

I am in complete agreement with that,Daniel. Reverbnation is principally Musicians critiqueing other Musicians. If a person wants to learn the "Art" of composition, he or she need look no further than Reverbnation.

I certainly couldn't agree more with what you said, Daniel. There is something that is communicated in the music, the lyric and the overall feeling that an artist conveys. If the passion and heart is lacking, you will know it in an instant. You've got it and glad to have your music to listen to.

I agree Daniel. The passion develops consistency and longevity too, that the listener can't help but feel the compassion.....

I agree with your blog...We should all listen closely and feel the passion of each artist. Does that feeling come out through their music? It's not technically how good an artist is..it is whether the song moves you as a listener. Thanks for posting your blog !!
