If musical performance was likened to recreation, recording would be likened to surgery.
It took me about 4 hours to lay down 4:49 worth of a single guitar track last night (up till 2am). I suppose I am writing stuff beyond my ability now, but I also think that it is that I am getting a lot pickier about what makes the cut and what lands on the cutting room floor. Still, I am super fascinated by the geek side of music--digital production. So 4 hours well spent for the soul, not so much for the fingers.

The angst of recording
