Sometimes you're made to bite the bullet and turn up at parties you have no desire to go to, talk to people you have nothing in common with and pretend to be interested in things that are incredibly boring. Then you get drunk and best behaviour becomes bad behaviour. And what took hours of tedium to build up becomes jenga. Just one little mistake. That's when it gets interesting. Worth every moment of self disgust.
