We have had a year that was not only unpredictable, but very unimaginable. Starting out in January 2011, we moved to Davenport, following the invitation of many warm, friendly faces that welcomed us once before. Through the four/five months that we resided in the north, we experienced both the great and the ugly of everyone and everything around us. Although we tried our hardest, finances ran out and no employment was enough to maintain our little home.
Moving back to the South was not ever planned, and what was to follow shortly after was certainly not. Facing certain family issues and remaining in a position of helplessless, we had to live in two different states. Something that we hoped would only be temporary, turned into the greater part of the year. By anyone's standards this situation simply was not fair to either one of us. Unlike the majority of the population, we LOVE to be around each other. Our live performances were put behind us and the creating/recording process began on many new tunes.
It must be true that strife and emotion in one's life is a prime source of inspiration. Across the miles and through the struggles, we have now reached over 105 original songs. Three albums released in 2011, and already three more albums put together for the future. 2012, the new year, brings us back together again. We are both different people than the man and woman that drove across country to a foreign area with high expectations. No, the year 2011 has been one of personal and professional growth for the both of us. We look upon January with a renewed sense of optimism. We are currently in talks with a record company based in the Little Rock area that is forming around a positive aspiration for both us and them. We have a new apartment waiting for us...and our days will be spent surrounded by two beautiful children and our new little puppy. I am attending college again to continue for my degree in communications. And the most important part of all: Adam and I will never be separated again.
We are looking forward to big opportunities and new live performances in the year 2012. If that is the last year our lives ever live, may it be one full of GREAT things. And if somehow we all manage to wake up on the morning of December 22, 2012... Well, we will still be singing our songs and playing house.

So here we are, a couple of weeks into our new adventure. We have played at a few various open mics last week and it was a great experience for us both. We will continue to scout out these venues and hopefully establish a few gigs to put under our belts.
We have begun recording for our self-produced debut album titled, "Curtains Drawn Against the World". It will feature 13 songs created by us over the past few months. A sense of redemption lingers over the lyrics and the catchy melodies will certainly leave you eagerly awaiting the next track. We are very excited to feel completion of this project in the next month or so. (Estimation, of course!)
Then onto the next project. "Something to Live For". That's right, we both have found exactly that.
