Halifax Jazz Festival 2017

Excited about our show at the Halifax Jazz Festival Main Stage Friday Jul 14th, 2017.

Remembering Rob.

Remembering Rob MacIntosh It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our good friend and tenor sax player of 26 years Rob MacIntosh who was instrumental in making the music come alive over the years with The Good Rockin’ Daddys and The SideCats. Rob inspired everyone he came in contact with and was a true friend. We lost him at the end of summer August 30th, 2014 due to complications with treatment for his MS. ‘Your horn lines live on in our heads as we go on and your presence is always with us. Miss your laughter, your infectious smile and you will always live on in our hearts and will never be forgotten.’

Friends Helping Friends Benefit

Friends Helping Friends A Benefit for Rob MacIntosh A benefit being held for Rob MacIntosh, hosted by his friends. This letter of request is being sent to you regarding a local family in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Rob MacIntosh is a veteran musician and intrument repair technician in the Halifax area. Rob MacIntosh was diagnosed with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis in 1990. After receiving various treatments with varying success, Rob MacIntosh was started on a treatment of natalizumab (Tysabri), which resulted in PML (Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy); PML is a rare viral disease characterized by progressive damage of the white matter of the brain. Family, friends and loved ones will be holding a benefit on Sunday, August 17th from 2pm until 10pm at Monte's Showbar Grill (245 Waverley Road, Dartmouth, NS). We are asking for assistance from your establishment to make this a success for renovations in making the home more accessible and home care cost for Rob MacIntosh. Musical entertainment will be provided by musical colleagues of Rob MacIntosh during the fundraising event. Featuring performances by: Garrett Mason, Frank Mackay, Layne Francis, Joe Murphy, Carter Chaplin, BC Kwartet, Shirley Jackson & Her Good Rockin' Daddys, and many more. In addition to open donations there will be a silent auction and a 50/50 draw. Toronto Maple Blues Awards!

What a great year it has been with the release of 'When The Money's All Gone'! First an ECMA nomination, East Coast Music Nomination and now a Toronto Maple Blues nomination for Horn Player 2013. I am honored to be among the nominees! Congrats to all the nominees! Hope to see you in Toronto in January!

What an amazing summer!

It has been a very busy spring and summer with great festivals and road trips. Colebrook, Northern New Hampshire was a great show with people there from all over the New England States. Looks like a return trip in the works along with Quebec City. Edmundston Jazz & Blues Festival was wonderful. We returned home for the Pembroke Festival in June, Liverpool, Smokin' Mountain Festival #3 and the TD Halifax Jazz Festival. The response to the band was exceptional! We are truly Blessed!

New Hamspire, Quebec City and Edmundston Jazz & Blues Festival.

Just returned from our performance at the Tillotson Centre, Colebrook, New Hampshire, played Pub Limoilou in Quebec City and three shows at the Edmundston Jazz & Blues Festival. Great travels with the best band ever. I am blessed.
