There is a lot of hate and misunderstanding in society because so many of us do not love ourselves. That lack of love comes from self-unforgiveness. Either from something we did or something someone else did to us. If God sent his son to forgive us for our sins and loves us unconditionally, then we should be able to forgive and love ourselves.

I'm a New York football fan, which means there is no love lost for the Cowboys but this is a great quote from an NFL legend (who just happened to play for Dallas). All jokes aside, The extra mile is on the road less traveled. It may be longer and filled with challenges but the outcome is far sweeter than taking the easy way out.

For those of us who have not yet begun to walk in our purpose, the message is simple. Stop second guessing things and waiting for circumstances to change. It is not up to us to figure it out before we even begin. Our faith in God must be greater than our network, bank accounts, education and influence. When God gives vision, he also grants provision. What are you going to start today?

Many of us are taught that self confidence is key but as believers, our real confidence rests in God. If we truly believe and trust in His word then there is nothing that can be said or done to us that will deter us. The next time you put up your own roadblock or one is placed in your path, remember that God gave you the gifts to do all things, not through yourself, but through Him.
