Danielle DI hits #6 on ER Dancehall Charts with 'Rebel' Feat. Cherine

"I am also booked to perform at a club show in Curacao and another show alongside Gyptian in the Virgin Islands. The 'Rebel' song is opening a lot of doors for me, especially in Europe, and I am working hard on a number of new singles for Sly (Dunbar) and other producers, I am coming to take the Summer," she told one876entertainment.com The single hit #6 on the ER dancehall charts last week and it has just entered the Fiwi Choice Captain Bakery charts. Danielle Teams with Sly and Robbie

(Danielle) has been busy in the studios with legendary musicians Sly and Robbie as she works on her new album, eyeing a summer-release date. Working with the Taxi Gang has been a joy for the artiste, she told THE STAR. "It's a pleasure for me to be working with them. I've been learning a lot about how to get more from my music and a whole lot of other stuff." "I've been around them for at least four years now, but now we're doing it the right way and focusing on some serious work," she added. The artiste known for her Brown Girl In The Ring collaboration with Beenie Man spoke highly of the singles Push Over and Rebel, on which she teams with Cherine Anderson. Both songs were produced by the Taxi Gang. The video for Push Over was directed by Gareth Cobran whereas the Rebel shoot is to be done soon. She also has other soon-to-be released singles. Her recent performance in New York was a good one and she is gearing up for the annual Spring Break event to be held at Long Bay Beach, Negril, as well as another show in the Bahamas. "This is projected to be a good year. It's just for me to keep putting out quality music and let the people be the judge," she said. -H.W.

Produced by veterans Sly and Robbie, the track has been receiving good airplay on local radio stations since its release. The video was shot in Southside, downtown, Kingston, and was directed by Andrew Grey and William Richards. The two artistes have been working closely with the Taxi Gang as Cherine's Kingston State Of Mind and Danielle D.I.'s Push Over were both done for Taxi Records.
